Technically it is possible. Legally not I suppose. We where caught by the reisefuhrer and he proposed, to joine his trip, leave or he phoned the police. We joined (and paid for) his trip and it was the best choice, we learned a lot about the place.😃

Dank. Dat was het ook. Wel vanaf de parkeerplaats linksom lopen. Je moet dan na een stuk wandelpad ook een deel over de weg. Dat is het enige mindere stuk.

@@barefoot2478 Hoe de wandeling heet weet ik niet meer, de start was op een partkeerplaats te Camerig op de Epenerbaan, tegenover de Rozenhof. Loop eerst naar boven, dan moet je uiteindelijk een stukje over die Epenerbaan, en dan komt er een mooi wandelpad naar beneden. Het was niet lang. Iets van 7 km.

Was heerlijk fietsen en veel plezier met de Pumkins!

Zeker een prachtig trammuseum en het was een lang gekoesterde wens om eens te gaan kijken. We werden niet teleurgesteld.

In the week before us splendid. In our week we had two day's with rain (16th and 17th), very exceptional according to locals. And it was mostly on the north coast, where we started. At the south coast, most of the whole week was splendid with enough sun, around 25 degrees Celsius.😀

I don't hope so and Cuba is a beautuful island indeed. But after the implosion of the Sovjet Union, Cuba was looking for other means of existence and choose to develop tourism to get hard valuta to buy the things the do not produce themself. They were very succesful until the corona pandemic, when the country was closed for two years. The people we spoke hoped for more tourists, Rusians and Americans alike, bringing euro's and dollars. But I understand that it is irritating, seeing foreigners enyoing themselfs when de standard of living of Cubans is bad. Hopefully it changes as fast as possible for the good.

Het is inderdaad een wat bijzondere omgeving en daarom ook zo interessant om te bezoeken. Het heeft ook zovele kanten, zoals de geboorte van de ruimtevaart. Voor de dwangarbeiders was het zeker geen feest. Mijn grootvader zat in Stuttgart en is daar vaker gebombardeerd dan in Rotterdam...

Het wordt weer boven de 10 graden...

Jazeker, 15 minuten lopen vanaf vogelzang hebben ze daar een plas gegraven voor bluswater in geval van natuurbranden. Wij komen daar ook al decennia met een groep vrienden, alleen zaten we eerst op de kampeerboerderij De Kievit. Sinds die hebben uitgebreid zijn we uiteindelijk geland in De Vogelzang.
