Mr. Trevino thanks for the tips, especially the one about leaning up against the door and accelerating. I hit a whole bucket of sand wedges 85 yards on the green and close to the pin. Now I just need to hit it another 10 yards or so. I use a Ping Eye 2 black dot. Cheers.

Daly had so much potential it was crazy, not all things work out. Even though Trevino achieved greatness, he’d be the first to admit he should have won 10+ majors....

I've watched a lot of Lee over the years. One thing I've noticed is that he does indeed 'lean' or orientate himself more towards the target at address.. and I think that's a great little tip for wedge play and short iron play in general. A little more weight towards the target stops you swaying off the ball (which kills club head speed) and it also feels a lot more 'positive' (or aggressive) which is good for the mental approach. It's better than standing there with your weight distributed 50/50 like most people teach. It was good to hear him expand on that in this video.

bjnwright I would love to know his weight distribution on a driver. Is it 50/50 or maybe 60/40 front side?
@bjnwright
@bjnwright 4 жыл бұрын
@@npwarr2651 not sure about driver, you don't want to be too steep with driver, but he'd be 60/40 'atleast' on his irons I reckon. It's been a big short iron tip for me since I wrote that message. Weight on the front foot from 120 meters out has made a real difference to my ball striking with the wedges. Consistent contact. Plus, IMO, one feels more confident with weight going towards the target.

Is that kind of like “Stack And Tilt”?
@bjnwright
@bjnwright 3 жыл бұрын
@@collinjamesguitar I couldn't say. I investigated stack and tilt when it was all the rave - but I felt like it got way too technical. Destroyed Aaron Baddeley. He won the Aus Open twice in a row in his teens, re-tooled, switched to 'stack and tilt' and was never the same again. There a lot of technique out there... but I still think your natural instincts for clubhead speed are worth listening to.

Lee is not just a champion golfer, but he is a champion guy. He gives so many great tips to remedy the everyday problems that the average golfer has. And he makes it so understandable in simple terms. I have always admired his skill and his good humour. Cheers Lee.

GOOD STUFF. At 2:30 that is a flat backswind? Also very abbreviated? Is for more control? However, it seems like she really shifts her weight well through the ball.
