Very cool to see you again. Driving in eastern Europe especially Turkiye must be a fun adventure. I would love to be a trucker myself but my physical problems don't allow it. But at least i can drive in Euro Truck Simulator. 😂 btw awesome you could see trucks from Iran. I love the trucks from Iran. I saw few of them myself. The distance they cover one way is crazy in a positive way. Close to 5500 km and even more. Big respect 😉💪🚚

Yes, that's true, each road to Turkey is small adventure, escape from daily grey reality and misery of life. Life on the road has much different rules, different values, gives you different mindset. But sometimes I'm thinking about working stationary again, or coming back home daily, it's still this urge, this whisper of comfort zone, that is calling me. But I know that whenever I will stop living on the road, I will become miserable again and it's going to be much worse. Because whenever you will feel taste of this freedom, going back to cage isn't even an option anymore, even if this cage is made of gold, and you can hold the key.

In England those vehicles are called a Wagon and Drag
@Oo-IIII-oO3 күн бұрын
Just curious why would they want the tank empty?
@DaniTravelson2 күн бұрын
I don't know exactly, my company told me that it's mandatory by law, but why, I have no idea, and it's not always checked by border officers. Sometimes they just don't give a shit about it, but for safety it's better to have it empty.

In the UK we call them trucks Wagon and Drags
@DaniTravelson3 күн бұрын
Thanks for info man 👍💪 are those type of trucks common in UK? Or just for some certain loads
@GlenBGaming3 күн бұрын
@@DaniTravelson Not as common as normal trailers but some companies use them with demountable bodies on or with hiab's on for bricks etc.
@DaniTravelson3 күн бұрын
I see, in Balkans and Turkey you can see a lot of them, with not demountable bodies, those with demountable bodies are usually used by companies like DHL, UPS, etc.

I've been watching for a long time your channel.I like your video, and I have question how you learned English so good?Have a nice day and Have a nice trip 😊
@DaniTravelson3 күн бұрын
Thanks man 💪👍 I always knew that English language will be my way out from my country, because I wanted to go abroad since childhood, so I was just learning and learning constantly, using books, movies, games, everything what had English language. And finally I went abroad when I was 18yo, and since then I was living in 5 different countries and traveling, totally around 9 years, I came back to Poland to be truck driver just last year. So I had plenty of time and opportunities to practice English language, but at the same time I have learned Turkish language, a bit of German language, and German language, to be honest, destroyed my English language. 4 years I was living in Germany and my English language skills just dropped down, I used to speak much better, but I'm practicing, and still learning bit by bit, so it's going to be only better.

@DaniTravelson good luck bro with turkish believe it will happen. I only know basic words but I'm still studying it
@DaniTravelson3 күн бұрын
I was working as a tourist guide two years in Turkey, so I had to learn it, but it was even before living in Germany, plenty of years ago. So right now I'm kinda reminding myself Turkish language 😂 but just for this job, whenever I will be done with Turkey, then I will take different language
@Haulin_trucker3 күн бұрын
@DaniTravelson everywhere they want English so stick to English. For example I have a problem I only know basic English words but for the account I know Russian but with this war I don't know where things will lead.

Hey mate, welcome back! Would have one question, do you rely on google maps alone? Because one time I tried to use it, but it would had take to places where trucks are prohibited
@DaniTravelson5 күн бұрын
Good question, answer for it is very complex. As you know I'm driving always mostly Romania Bulgaria Turkey, in those countries there are just a few main transit roads for trucks and I just remember them, so I could drive even without any maps to Turkey. When driving in those countries in some cities, like unloading in next video in Bucharest, then I'm using still google maps, sticking to main roads, or I will check route on some truck map app, like TomTom, and then I will compare it with route from Google maps and I will modify route on Google maps if necessary, to it will match route from truck map app. Then I'm sure that I won't have weight restrictions or height restrictions and I will still have good information about traffic in real time etc. Only exception is Turkey, because there speed limits or restrictions, very often doesn't exist. Rule is that if you can fit there, you can drive there and I love it. So in Turkey I'm using just Google maps, because typical trucking apps will show you restrictions that are basically ready to be broken by anyone. Turkey is completely different when it goes about trucking, that's one of reasons I'm driving there 😂
@LacaTomi3 күн бұрын
thank you so much for the answer mate! Sounds like Turkey is kinda like a trucker paradise in this regard 🤣

Exactly, that's why I really love to drive there, there is a lot of freedom, roughly speaking

@DaniTravelson6 күн бұрын
Hi, yes sure I can do, tour will be in 3rd or 4th movie, and cruise control on 86 is just when I'm not rushing then I'm setting 86 so when road goes downhill, Volvo will speed up till around 89/90 and then automatically breaking

This feeling, after doing trip like that, when you remember that just few days ago or few weeks ago you was thousands of kilometers away seeing something amazing, and then boom you are back to reality 😂 it's almost traumatizing 😂

Hi Daniel, sorry not been in touch recently ( some old man issues !! 😂) here’s the book and author that I said I’d sent you in regards your planned trip next year. Obviously it’s old n dated, but like me 😂 but i recommend you try find or download a copy coz it’s imo the original that other travellers have taken inspiration from. Stay safe n keep on trucking 💪😎
@MrKittke25 күн бұрын
this was alot of kilometers, the whole trip in total
@DaniTravelson25 күн бұрын
Yes man, it was between 5000km and 5500km. It was the longest trip that I have done, roughly speaking. Second longest one was done by my motorcycle GL1200, and it was around 4,500km 🤔
