Love Dexcore🤘🇯🇵 How about Jiluka - S4vage or Venom? It's prerequisite to listen to them too because #DDJ Edit: We're the same too, love Bando-Maido but I'm a metal head, metalcore is my bread and butter.. Oh they're all guys don't worry, probably you're hearing backing track sounds like a female voices.

@ErenNeverBloom That's Maki he also played with Undead Corporation, probably one time with Broken by the Scream. I think he's not yet a permanent drummer of Dexcore, he's always been a support I think. They're a Visual Kei band so the looks always androgynous. Tatsuya Amano also looks like that, the drummer of Crossfaith.

Maki-san is a man lol. The death metal idol group Broken by the scream, in which he was previously a support drummer, is also very funny, so I'd like to see your reaction. kzbin.info/www/bejne/hnLEhWeNqqmSsKssi=ow74mWMjAxzprW5N

Yes, your comment about Misa's bass work is spot on. I invite everyone to tune into 2.05 to 3:00, listening only to Misa's bass. She never plays a same line twice. It is constantly different, step by step through that whole section, and in every single case the tastefulness of that constantly different material is spot on, never once in the way of anything else. You can ignore her notes or listen to them tightly, and she is still the absolute glue with endless creativity. Then at about your 6:22 point, Misa is all alone with simple dual tones, carrying the whole thing, and that is just sweat. Simple, but again, with Misa its about continually playing the right notes, and nothing seems the same. Always listen to any Japanese band live. They are always better. Of my top five: Band Maid, One Ok Rock, Wagakki, Doll$boxx and Hanabie, only Hanabie has yet to put out their work in good live cuts, but even for them you can tune into their Taiwan performance to actually experience them. Strongly suggest Band Maid's songs: Manners with Black Hole, Domination, Daydreaming, Play and Hate, all LIVE, of course because it really makes a huge difference. Daydreaming live: kzbin.info/www/bejne/nWe2YWirrNZrY68 Incidentally, regarding the anxiety. I'm with you. This pod is your space and you definitely should do whatever you want. Just tune out any idiot because they are everywhere.

Band-Maid has this certain phenomenon thing going regarding their more progy-punk hard rock and Anime written tunes. These songs are hard, complex and will totally grow on you like a thousand pound R&R leech. The Maids in this format are relentless and powerful. Their “AniMaid” (anime) Covid-fighting "Unleash!!!!!" MV and new battle gear is exciting, meaningful and classy! As Maidiacs report: Maid Music will continue to dominate the world until everyone succumbs in ecstasy to its brilliant and undeniable forces!!!!! 💥🎀💥Thx, Eren!

Welcome, Eren. You are embarking on (along with many others - 220 million YT views, plus over 40 million reactor plays!) an awesome, progressive, hard-rock journey with 5 incredible women. Here's my intro blurb for those who may be new to Band-Maid: BAND-MAID’s songs and sound beat with the heart and soul of all rockers. But you’ll also hear heavy influences of Prog, Punk, Metal and Pop, with nice touches of Blues, Jazz, Funk and Grunge. Sometimes they use multiple genres within the same song. Their Composition, Execution, Joy of Playing, Consistency (144 songs), Uniqueness, Charisma, Charm and, oh yeah, Cuteness factor, position them as becoming the hard rock Beatles of our time! In other words, they’re destined for mega-stardom. Each member's personalities are super interesting and their musicianship among the best. Their writing, arrangements and overall sound, especially guitar tones and drums, are kick-ass! Having seen them LIVE, I can honestly say their performance, sound, stage appearance, and band synergy is off-the-rails spectacular! Band-Maid is the only band in decades where I love nearly EVERY song they’ve done. I have over 80 favorites! "Thrill" (2014) is a great place to start: kzbin.info/www/bejne/i5XWaJppgpJnorM Their songs from albums Unleash, Unseen World, Conqueror, World Domination, Just Bring It, Brand New Maid, and New Beginning drive even more - Hate?, Shambles, Influencer, Warning, No God, Different, Black Hole, Rinne, Blooming, Moratorium, Domination, Clang, Dice, Spirit, Don’t You Tell Me, Turn Me On, Fate, Play, You, Hide-And-Seek, Secret My Lips, Puzzle, Choose Me, I Can’t Live Without You, and on and on. But don’t miss out on their powerful, beautifully written, mid-tempo songs like Daydreaming, The One, Bestie, About Us, Memorable, Anemone, Endless Story, PAGE, At The Drop Of A Hat, Mirage and Smile... or more punky like After Life, Don’t Let Me Down and Screaming… or funky like Bubble… or bluesy like Manners and The Dragon Cries… or poppy like Start Over… or a bit jazzy like Wonderland… or progressive like No God, Giovanni, and Black Hole… or cultural like the Band-Maiko series… or instrumentals like From Now On, Don’t Be Long, Onset, Without Holding Back and Going Nuts… or their many acoustic versions like Catharsis and Sayonakidori... and last but not least, their Anime hits (AniMaid) like Protect You, Sense, Different, Glory and Unleash!!!!! (from their own Anime MV (series?)): kzbin.info/www/bejne/bX2lkHiGiJlrfqc) And many songs are represented with over 50 well produced music videos. kzbin.info Most performances should be experienced from their LIVE audience & online OKYUJI concerts:  2023 Yokohama 10th Year Anniversary Concert “Endless Story” kzbin.info/www/bejne/kJKUqmCIh7uXbZI  ONLINE OKYU-JI (Feb. 11, 2021) “No God” kzbin.info/www/bejne/pHLHiKF_h896l80  Tokyo's LINE CUBE SHIBUYA (February 14, 2020) “Domination” kzbin.info/www/bejne/h5PcgnaAo5ulj8k  ZEPP 2018 “Real Existence” kzbin.info/www/bejne/Y6K0n35_gbdoq5I  Shinkiba Studio Coast 2017 and other full concerts are on bandmaidprime.tokyo, bili, and official Band-Maid’s DVD/BD/CD. I'll go back and see an older song like YOLO, Order, Shake That, Freezer, Don’t Let Me Down, Before Yesterday, Real Existence, Non Fiction Days and Alone, etc. and realize there's no band that can consistently construct and play like Band-Maid. At 30 and the youngest, “Sensei” (Teacher) as band members call her, has the last word on many musical decisions. High-heels or sneakers, Sai-chan’s smile melts away her sometimes perceived, coldish persona. Saiki’s powerhouse performances, charisma, and voice focus the experience that’s driven her to the top echelon of hard rock frontwomen... or frontmen! Miku Kobato (Me-Ku) "Small Pigeon" - Rhythm guitar, vocals, lyricist, 33 years old. “Koba”, as Saiki calls her, is the Band founder and a firecracker MC & PR SpokesPigeon, po! Her “Magic Spell Time” charm and energy ignite the room. Kuruppo! No, no, no… KURUPPO!! Kanami Tono (Ka-Na-Me) “Princess” - Lead guitar, keyboards, 33 years old, is a prolific writer of most Band-Maid material. Kanami (translates “Song Wave”) is a possessed riff-slayer who’s so damn adorable it hurts. The only thing you want from Mincho is more! Akane Hirose (A-Ka-Nay) "Gorilla" - Drums, 33 years old, band energizer & co-clown with MISA. Achi’s talents include massive consumption of noodles and bananas, of course, (even during performance!) while revolutionizing rock drumming with relentless drive, dynamics and the kick. This “DrumZilla” is the Party! MISA (Me-Sa) "Barefoot Assassin" - Bass, 32 years old. An alluring free spirit driving her 5-string to rapturous low-ends while pulling off surprising counter leads with Kanami, off-stage MISA is the band’s goofball ballerina. Sometimes seen as the Mysterious One because she lets her instrument do the talking, the Assassin literally kills it… every note... uniting Band-Maid’s world-class rhythm section. A slug of JB, a slight grin, and let the slappin’ begin… MISA! MISA! MISA! Maidiacs (Maid-e-acts) - Band-Maid’s crazed yet supportive, knowledgeable and loyal Super Fans. Great songs that show the softer side of Nemophila. 'Ama-Te-Ras' is a quite unique 'groovy metal' song and one of their best as well. ‘G.O.D.’ is their newest song and 1st song as a 4-piece band And don't miss their many covers...they are all great as well!

Band-Maid is an easy obsession. I stumbled across them 4 years ago and within a few months I joined their fan club, subscribed to Band-Maid Prime, I've bought 99% of their media wherever possible, I've seen them live twice, and I bought the ticket and streamed them even though I have to get up at 2:30 AM to watch. If they tour anywhere near you - go see them - they are that good. No autotune, they do use a backing tracks, but the backing track is never carrying the show, just augmenting it. They are amazingly tight.

Almost certainly a little pitch clean up in post production, but not much. I've seen them live and she has pretty solid pitch. Some of their most recent live videos don't seem to have as much touchup in post production and I actually like them better. I think the singer's (Saiki) strongest traits are her senses of rhythm and time.

If you look at the video, it contains parts of their history. First we see Saiki in the "Blooming" video. I believe it was because it was a very hard song to sing. Fast lyrics, so I bet she didn't feel comfortable singing it? Then there's Kanami in the "Alone" video. Frightened... might show that she was afraid of what people was thinking, since it was her first composition that got an all clear from the label. Misa in DICE. Could be that she didn't like feeling that exposed? Especially since she is a bit shy and introverted. She does some solo work both in intro and midways. Then there's Miku from their first song "Thrill" always carefree, pulling all the others along. They stand on this hill ready to take on the world. Suddenly the pandemic hits in and we see them "losing" Miku. The concert the live version of "Freedom" was recorded, was one of the last they did before the pandemic. In the end of the concert they showed a trailer for a show at the world famous Budokan in Tokyo. Quite sure this took a toll on Miku. On the day they were supposed to have this gig, they deicided to stream instead. I could feel the disappointment, especially from Miku, who usually is quite talkative. Here did Saiki step in and made a speech to the fans, before "About us", which was a gift to the fans... and one of their most heartfelt songs.

Always Official LIVE Video. I never want Fan Cam stuff. You only get one camera angle and the sound is always terrible! No, no Auto-Tune. Miku does harmonies, sometimes there's a doubler or backing tracks for her, but for the most part, Saiki's vocals are usually dry. But then, she doesn't need a lot of enhancement, especially since her throat surgery.

Great reaction and when the MV is labeled live, for the most part it's really live, no auto-tune or post-processing pitch correction. Band-Maid is like the best Swiss watch every made, insane precision. They streamed a number of concerts live over the years (and especially during the covid lockdown) and when the official videos came out there were no difference in the vocals. If you watch "Wings of Pegasus" Fil has been on mission to expose all the artist using pitch correction and passing it off as "live". Fil also reviewed Band-Maid about 5 years ago and had high praise for them (warning - the right channel of the music is off) - here's a look if you're interested - kzbin.info/www/bejne/gZ25oGSQmc-Jo5o Thanks for continuing to react to Band-Maid.
