My grandmother was concieved about 6 weeks before her sister. They were born premature in 1904. Its amazing they both survived. She told me her sisters wyelids were almost transparent, and someone sat with them 24 hours a day to make sure they kept breathing. Her sister was nentally challenged, at about a 7 year old level. My grandmother had 5 children, and then raised 5 grandchildren. She was a strong woman

I am from Germany, and I think it was 26 years ago, the sister-in-law of a friend, who was also my teacher, got pregnant while already pregnant. But in this Case it happend naturally. She told me, that this is quite rare but possible, because a woman has two ovals.

I heard of this of a teen girl in Israel, she got pregnant while pregnant... both babies conceived through rape, one baby Arab, one Jewish...conceived almost 3 months apart. She didn't see on her fetal assessment that she had two babies in her womb, until she showed me her scans and i asked her if she knew that she had twins?? She had no idea! She went back for another fetal assessment and it was confirmed to be two boys, three months apart in gestation! Apparently this is most common in Jewish and Arab ethnicities, rare amongst caucasians. Definitely a surprise when this happens!🎉🎉🎉

Hi Rebecca I also had twins that were conceived two weeks apart. 😊 they were born 1 minute apart via c-section. Full term for the bigger twin and 2 weeks premature on the second twin. They are now 6 years old. They stayed 2” apart in hight most of the time after birth.

I had a boyfriend whose 'swimmers' were really sluggish, he just assumed that if his father had 6 kids he was good to go, he was told his iron was low, so he started drinking heavy beer because someone told him you can get it that way, doh. What he needed was proper meals and nutrition and less alcohol. I knew i was 35+, so I had that going on and knew it was probably an IVF scenario, had we gone on to try. Please let any of your younger friends who are trying for pregnancy know, to get checked out first so you know what you are working with. For those who became pregnant despite obstacles, congratulations and good health.

My sister got pregnant with twins with her tubes tied. The Dr assumed they or one came a loose. She learned during delivery (C-section) her tubes were still tied the eggs (fraternal twins) both got through. He had a second opinion and both Drs agreed they were tied well and there was nothing else to do 😂😂😂 (she couldn’t get them burned it wasn’t recommended)the twins are 29 years old now ❤❤❤

This is a better story than mine when they treated me that way. I was told, one of these 3 lumps are your child. When would you like to deliver we can’t get a heartbeat. This was at 21 weeks so I had to give birth

Same thing: Was taking a fertility medication and got pregnant. Ultrasound at 6 weeks showed 1 fetus. Repeat ultrasound at slightly more than 10 weeks showed 2 sacks: the original sack with a fetus with a heartbeat and a second sack with a fetus with a heartbeat. Also, in the 2nd sack, there was a 'shadow' of what most likely had started as a fetus, but there was no heartbeat. The twins were born at 37 weeks by C/Section with Baby A weighing almost 2 pounds more than Baby B. They are now 35 years old. 😀

Congratulations, and you’ve got two more babies as well as the twins as well as an older one you must be one busy woman. Enjoy them while they’re young as you know before you know it they’re gonna be off to university and they won’t have time for you good luck😅

So what constitutes children being considered a twin? I would think that since they were conceived on two separate times that they were two separate entities, even if they were born on the same day. You could have a child born any day you like nowadays by inducing it or cesarean section, etc. So that doesn't mean the children were twins. They were not in the same sack and they had their own separate gestation time periods; just being born on the same day, does not make them twins at all.

My sister was pregnant then 6 wks apart she fell pregnant again so having 2 babies 6 wks apart with their own placenta’s so they weren’t twins.

I want to raise awareness to a breastfeeding condition called D-MER. It stands for dysphoric milk ejaculation reflex. I unfortunately had this with my daughter. It is not post partum depression, it is not a trauma response (although it felt like it) and there is very little research. What happens is a few seconds before your letdown some mother experience an immense emptional response. Rage, shame, sorrow, etc. It is so intense. I felt shame so intense I wanted to dig a whole and die in it. Each let down. Then you have a super powerful letdown. Many of us have a super heavy supply so you are having trauma all day and night. I felt so alone and it tainted the newborn stage. I made it over a year. Was it worth it? I do not even know, but my only solice is I had the means and I didnt give up (which honestly sounds like self harm in retrospect.) If you feel like this (anyone) you aren't alone and you are not a horrible monster. It made me feel perverted honestly.

So afraid this will happen to me! I’m a superovulator and release multiple eggs every cycle. Or I don’t release an egg at all. It’s a total crapshoot 😩

I’m in Australia and you are the first that I have heard of that had a similar experience to me. I tested pregnant with my last child but was bleeding throughout the pregnancy. Around 12 weeks I had a heavy loss in the toilet but didn’t worry about it due to the bleeding. My pregnancy continued normally but as I got closer to my delivery date my doctor became concerned as this baby was so much smaller than all my previous pregnancies (4). He sent me off for a scan to check everything was ok. We lived in a country area and I had never had a scan for any of my previous pregnancies. The result of the scan was I had another 12 weeks to go but the child was normal just not due. This meant that I’d conceived her while pregnant with the one I lost. I couldn’t believe I had flushed my first child down the toilet but my doctor assured me that had been the case and that the first conception had obviously had some issues and nature took it’s course. So pleased all was well in your case. I am now in my eighties so that was a long time ago. We named our little girl Evette (little Eve) Many blessings to you and yours from Down Under.💌🇦🇺🦘
