You can't play everything. That's it. Play what makes you happy. Not stressed or angry. If you end a session feeling worse emotionally than when you started, fire up a different game next time. Put your next 500 hours into an offline RPG. Try an ARPG.

My favorite game that I bet no one understands the appeal of it would be Nippon Marathon. It's amazing to me how buggy the game was to the point it became part of the gameplay and pair it with the absurdity of the story and it's characters and of course I really, really, really want Lollipop Chainsaw!

I still have my PS3 copy of Lollipop Chainsaw and when I played it back in 2012 I knew it was something I never played at that point so it holds a special place for me plus I want to suppot Repop as well I really, really, really, really want Lollipop Chainsaw.

I’ve always been more of a single player guy. I really only picked up MP games (FPS, Rocket League) around 2015ish, then stopped and picked MP back up in 2019 for a couple years on and off. I sunk a lot of time getting better at those games because I was “catching up” to everyone else that had been playing these games for years before me. After a while, it stopped feeling like a game and more like a job, and the fun was gone. Yeah, I still dabble in Battlefield as that is the most casual FPS game that I can play off-and-on without losing my “touch” with the game, but 90% of my time is in single player games. I find those to be much more enjoyable for what I’m looking for in games. No meta, no min/maxing to keep up, no FOMO mechanics, no battle passes, no time-limited modes-just quality, fun experiences that keep me entertained for hundreds of hours in some cases.

Never played original, playing repop. Wish now that I had played when it came out: the humor of this game is exactly what I love in humor, and the comic book nature of it is great too. You eventually realize you are not playing as a scantily clad chick in a cheerleader costume, you are playing as an actual cheerleader! Which adds a lot of flare to her character

Very good coverage of a super fun game. An old AMD 5950 X and 5700 XT ran the game flawlessly so it would be interesting to see if there’s a particular system configuration which is hitting the reported bugs but it even has optimization workarounds that the community is figured out if you want to go for the portable version.

I've got some beefier hardware but also ran it a bit on handhelds. Runs okay on lower resolutions for those, but bugs are somewhat noticeable. Again, not much of a technical review but I didn't have any game breaking bugs

My favourite game that people don't understand is Enclave. It's my favourite action RPG despite jankiness & being punishingly difficult in places. There's just something about its medieval setting & level based structure that really works for me. BTW I really, really, really want Lollipop Chainsaw! I actually still have my Xbox 360 copy somewhere but have no hardware to play it on thanks to the infamous Red Ring Of Death! 😮

You were where I am now. I've been playing competitively since popping my quarters on the Mortal Kombat arcade machine, waiting my turn to destroy the guy currently losing. I have spent thousands of hours over the years since Unreal, Quake, Rainbow Six Rogue Spear, Counter Strike etc etc playing games online to compete. However my backlog has grown to around 800 games. I have yet to play through the Batman series, Bioshocks, Resident Evils, add in whatever series here. I don't even have to buy them, I already did and they just have sat un-played. I desire though to leave online gaming (except maybe for Rocket League because I love it). My wife and I play together a lot of co-op games, and we host quarterly LAN parties with family and friends so I'll still play some multiplayer stuff. But I feel it's time to say goodbye to competitive multiplayer only games and start going through all of the stories and experiences that I've been missing.

I was a strictly multiplayer gamer from 2012-2018 and RDR2 brought back the feeling I had as a kid playing single player games. After finishing it I finished every Kingdom Hearts game on Xbox, 8 Yakuza games (still a WIP) and tons of random SP games, gaming has become bittersweet to me. I miss the days of peak CoD and Halo with my friends, late night minecraft and Payday 2 sessions but single player games are just so much more enjoyable nowadays. I still play Overwatch, Valorant and the occasional Minecraft or Hell Let Loose with friends but multiplayer gaming just hasn’t been the same since 2018

I have the Steam Deck OLED and the Lenovo Legion Go as well as the Nintendo Switch v2... out of all the 3, the Legion Go is the most powerful one, but the battery doesn't last long at all, the Steam Deck OLED comes in second place with battery life, and my Nintendo Switch comes in 1st!. I tried to emulate Nintendo Switch on both the Steam Deck OLED and the Legion Go but some games don't run well, so I'm gonna buy a modded Nintendo Switch OLED so i can play Nintendo exclusives on it, and my pc games on my other two depending how I feel lol.

You don’t own a steam deck and you say it’s worse from what I’ve seen although the rog is more stronger with the flaws and the shitting windows 11 fuckery a 1 hour game session is supposed to be portable it can’t be portable if you only get one hour and have to charge it into a wall charger in order to charge it same with the deck but atleast it’ll last you a drive or anything away from a plug for 3 hours I would rather go with the deck because I want to game and not waste my time and money the steam deck is better

single player games are like movies and multiplayer games are like hobbies. do one for a self contained experience. Do the other for a progressively evolving experience. Both are good. both are bad. Find your reasons to enjoy either.
