Hi, do you know how long it takes to get a Les Baer when you order from them.

love the pistol, however a recent bad experience really disappointed me. used as a edc and the rose/gold coated areas all show corrosion and sig sauer will not cover it under warranty! very disappointing

If the Second Amendment was repealed tomorrow, it would not change anything. Why? Because the original Constitution REQUIRES an armed citizenry. Good Grief! The first Congress even wrote a law COMMANDING mandatory service for all able-bodied men capable of bearing arms that they themselves supply. The second amendment community really upsets me, because in reality, they want nothing to do with actually performing the DUTY to Keep and Bear Arms.

The earlier productions of these do NOT have a red sickle (only a red star on each side - sickle is stamped but not filled in) and the CZ-USA stamp is smaller.

I would not want to shoot someone with a gun that has a skull on it. Imagine going before a jury with that.

I own both and can say without a doubt the XDM elite is way better. Better trigger better ergonomics. Pretty much better in every aspect, even accuracy.

Sounds like the people who will be really happy with Tisas 1911s are people who want one that (1) looks like an authentic USGI 1911A1 and (2) functions. Which is to say that I like mine a lot for barely more than $400 shipped and transferred.

Just bought a glock 36, used today. $348 out the door. Love it.

I carried a bunch of glocks the past few years. The last 45 glock i carried was the 30...man was that thing thick...to be honest, i just didn't carry it. I didnt even think about the 36, went to s gun shop this morning, they had a used glock 36 that was BARELY shot, maybe 20 rounds through it. I was out the door $349. To me it was a steal, like-new glock pistol. This is my new edc. Most recent carry was 43x or sig p365x. Just dont trust 9mm.

Between my son and I we have four Tisas 1911s. You're spot on about the springs. I've replaced nearly every spring in them as the factory units are trash. Replacing the barrel bushing is a must if you want to tighten up the accuracy to what I consider acceptable, which I've done on both of mine. I think they represent a great value, but they need some tweaking to realize their full potential.

What is the difference in accuracy and reliability?

Do the dovetail cuts for the sights on the stakeout allow for a night sights ( front and rear tritium) on the stakeout?

What’s your opinion on the Wilson blue guide rod cushions? Not sure the right name now. The inserts to lessen the wear and tare from recoil?

Any holster recommendations for the emissary? Since it has the square trigger guard traditional 1911 holsters are probably harder to come by

My dislike with Henry lever guns is they don’t have the ability to produce one without that tube loading that many people do not want, have made it known to Henry Company but they do not care it seems. Henry must have already produced millions of lever gun magazines with the tube load feature and won’t stop until they have all been utilized. I think the tube load feature ruins a lever guns appearance. That is my opinion. If you like that feature then enjoy your Henry. Since Henry is the only lever gun manufacturer that I know of that has endorsed and chambered one of their lever gun models to accommodate the wonderful new Remington .360 buck hammer round I just may live with the tube loading feature!!

milspec price versus tisas aint even close

SA 1911 milspec stainless all day every day. The SA 1911 Garrison models are also really good, I have experience with both. I need to try the commander models they just came out with.

The xd9 SC was probably only popular back before 2010 for those who wouldn’t admit the Glock 26 was and still is vastly superior. Those who had xd40 SC’s are even more clueless. The only way I’d have an xd9 sc nowadays is if I found one for dirt cheap in good condition. And I probably wouldn’t even like it. Heck, I don’t even like my xds 9 4.0. Trigger pull sucks and the grip feels awful.
