I have a 22 vx ho. love it. Im in S Florida where I and so many others have super slick 2000 on the bottom because it just started peeling out of the box and gently beaching is part of visiting all the islands. Also, I just did a vid on how I put the extra Yamaha under hood storage bag and soft cleat loops for fenders and dock lines like how you did with the baby rings but less intrusive under the hood. check it out!

Thanks for the feedback that makes sense where you live to have the super slick on the bottom. We would love to watch the video but weren’t able to find it. Can you please let us know your channel or send the link.

Why do you take the batteries out in the winter? Note: I have always used Battery Tenders. So this practice seems odd to me. But, I also have only owned Kwai’s & Sea Doo’s too. Previous lived in California where it seldom gets cold enough to freeze. Is this the reason? Thank you. Great video. Very informative. VX had features I was Not aware of.

Thank you glad you enjoyed it! That is exactly the reason we take the batteries out. We live in Canada and the winters can get pretty cold.

Leaving a tender on for too long can start fures
@scotthooper41707 күн бұрын
@@centralcal6604 Yes, I have heard that. I was not positive that it was true. But I do “Cycle” them. And they are pretty well ventilated in my heated garage. I “Test” (run) the generator. And run the quad & side by side so that they are not “On” more than two months with out being run. The Sea Doo of course just gets un plugged for a day or two and the battery gets tested with a fluke meter. Having used these methods at work has saved me grief, and the company has recognized my maintenance methods has produced a decrease in product failure. And increase in longevity. So, I must have been doing something right?
@centralcal66047 күн бұрын
@scotthooper4170 for sure it's always good take precaution,I left a battery tending over night outside for about 6 hrs, and when I went to check on it in the morning the battery acid inside was bubbling,and the terminals looked Toasted.i felt like throwing the tender away and not using it anymore

I have a 2022 VX Cruiser HO only in Cyan (I call it Amazon blue). The graphics on mine are nice, black and go well with the blue. Not sure why you would do that to the ski. Anyway, mine seems to have a fuel gauge issue. When at like one or two bars on the fuel gauge I still have over 7.5 gallons left......have you noticed that on yours?
@KandGExcursions9 ай бұрын
Nice those colours were really sharp! We weren’t sure about our colours at first but like them now. We did that just to make the skiis a bit different. We did have the same problem and found it really annoying. We just recently fixed the issue and confirmed that it did work. It will actually be our next video just in the process of completing it now.

@@KandGExcursions so you had a fuel gauge issue too. what did the shop find and what was the fix? and, have you done any research into the possibility of towing the ski back to the dock...there is plenty of stories about flooding the engine.....curious... and I love the yellow...and the green from last year would have been my favorite.

Looks like you two are getting the hang of power offloading (must turn handlebars back & forth). Being a contrarian, I push mine off the trailer and winch it on. Good call getting the HO; what with the big lakes you're riding the extra speed is useful. Your tow rig doesn't look beefy as some - is it close to max cap with two skis + trailer?
@KandGExcursions10 ай бұрын
Most of the time we are able to push it off, but on the shallower ramps we need to power it off. Our GVWR is 2995lbs and our two skis only weigh 1600lbs together. The trailer seems solid and we are really happy with it so far.
