One of the greatest death metal bands that no one ever heard of. When the scene was being flooded with cookie cutter bands that were barely distinguishable, pessimist really created a sound of their own. I don't know how they did not get more exposure. Their sound is unmistakable and they crafted some really unique songs. Pessimist is up there with Immolation when I think of bands that took death metal and elevated it in an artful and skilled way.
