If you thought Dustborn bombed horribly, things got even worse as of recently. Annapurna Interactive branch laid off the employees due to a botched partnership with a studio. If you don't know the company, they're behind publishing Neon White, Sayonara Wild Hearts, Outer Worlds, and Kentucky Route Zero, just to name a few. IGN refuses to review Lollipop Chainsaw RePop due to the woke employees that's in the company. Wow, this game really exposed these so-called hardcore gamers. That's pathetic.

As you have said, if you don't like it, don't buy it. Like the PS4 Pro, this is not for mass market and only for a small niche audience. And I think Sony sees this to be the case and sees the PS5/PS5 slim to be the base model anyways which explains the price of PS5 Pro because they shouldn't plan to sell the PS5 Pro to mass audiences and only for the small niche audience. I do agree that I don't think a mid gen refresh is really necessary per say. But as we see with the PS4 Pro, did it devalue on the purpose of next generation of consoles? I would say no. In fact, it may have done quite the opposite. I say if you are carrying the same energy with this, are you carrying with it for Switch especially in its relation to Wii U? It's ironic because in your previous videos a while ago, you have hinted the Switch's I say vulnerable identity in it being a Wii U lite/mid gen refresh in sheep's clothing including in what you predicted the Super Smash Bros game was going to be for Switch. And with what I say there, if I were you, I would be more concerned with whether Nintendo values next generation or not than any other negative implications of what the PS5 Pro would possibly do in the gaming industry because Switch is closest to what I would say in how the purpose of a next generation could be devalued. And that's all I'll leave at that and it's why I say Nintendo's next generation will be their most important. If Nintendo's next generation succeeds, it's not going to largely be on what Switch was a big representative of in its ports and lack of distinctness or originality, it's going to be because it shows that it's needed and must have in games that is only possible for the system and not on Switch while having the success of Nintendo's marketing of their games to their audiences that Switch era had. I made my decision in not supporting Switch due to what I say to be its vulnerable identity and the lack of Nintendo's first party involvement with it throughout its lifespan and you made your decision. And I also won't be supporting PS5 Pro for a similar reason as I didn't for PS4 Pro. And that's all I'll leave at that.

Sony needs to go back to the drawing board and reopen Japan Studio, stop ballooning their budgets on "games" that are disguised as movies (The Last of Us), and bring back franchises that can appeal to a new generation.

If you have the time, you definitely have to make a video on the failure of Concord. Grand opening, grand closing. Another colossal failure by Sony, and they're sending refunds as of now. First, the financial flop that's Forspoken being a console exclusive, then came Final Fantasy XVI that bombed as an exclusive (which in turn lost the long partnership with Square Enix), rerelasing The Last of Us Part II (WHY?), now we have Concord (which is considered the contender of worst game of 2024). Sony needs to get it together before 2025 because if they don't, they'll be knee-deep in debt, and there will be no recovery from it.

With Capcom putting out collections (Megaman, Megaman X, Megaman Battle Network, Megaman Zero/ZX, Devil May Cry, Resident Evil, Street Fighter 30th Anniversary, Capcom Arcade Stadium, Fighting Collection series), we need Bandai Namco, Koei Tecmo, and Atlus to step up their collections to be put out. Koei Tecmo: Dead or Alive, Fatal Frame Trilogy, and Deception. Bandai Namco: Tekken, Soul Calibur, Klonoa Pocket Series (Wonderswan and Game Boy Advance), Gundam Battle Assault series, Tales (although they're already doing this with Graces f so we might see if we get the PS1 ports of Tales games as a collection), Time Crisis (we seriously need light gun games back on the market). Atlus: Power Instinct, Shin Megami Tensei I&II, Persona 1, Persona 2: Innocent Sin and Eternal Punishment, Snowboard Kids Collection (1, 2, and Plus), Vanillaware Selection (Odin Sphere, Dragon's Crown, Princess Crown, Grand Knights History, and Muramasa: The Demon Blade).

Now we have Guilty Gear Strive coming to the Switch. Jim Ryan is having straight-up aneurism right now because Playstation is losing their exclusives.

The answer is a definite no. The greatest Nintendo system of all time is the Super Nintendo Entertainment System. And it's a result of market forces, when it came out, and who their competition was. Super Nintendo had an already built fanbase with the NES and they delivered what those fans wanted in spades: new games, stunning visuals (to this day, SNES games look amazing), new concepts like Super Mario Kart and F-Zero, cutting-edge games like Star Fox and Vortex, ground-breaking solid titles like Super Mario World, Super Metroid and Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past, which set the standard for games even today, and above all else, they had 3rd parties doing their best to put out great titles on it to entice players from all age groups and skill levels. And the key to it was: competition. Sega was on their A-game and more than once was ahead of Nintendo in the console wars. Sonic The Hedgehog 2 was the first worldwide game release and it blew Nintendo out of the water for a Christmas season, until Nintendo geared up again and got ready to release their 1993 line-up. SNES and Sega Genesis were both excellent and worthy rivals, and the ones who won the most were the fans. Players got the best from both companies. Nintendo Switch is a good system, but it is severely flawed. Its library is full of Wii U titles that were shined up and repackaged, the analog sticks still have the drift issue 7 years after the fact, the games don't include manuals like the older Nintendo games did with extra artwork and story, tips and explanation of game mechanics, and their retro game service is laughable. The Wii did it better with the Virtual Console in 2006, and the games ran better and looked better as well, without the ugly border frame. Their online service is laggy on NES and SNES games, sometimes up to a second in delay from button press to on-screen action. Never bothered to try the upper tiers. Despite its flaws, Switch is a fine system, especially compared to the competition. The competition isn't even trying. Xbox SeX and PS5 are competing for the biggest dust collectors.

21 games going diamond or more is staggering for a console. 67 1st party games going platinum is almost as shocking. This is the result of Nintendo not paying attention to the "AAA" cultists and diversifying its fanbase.

The positives of Switch: Some really cool motion controls and hd rumble games, split controllers creating unique controls and simplified ones for certain games, returns of certain IPs and unique new games. Cruisin would be a great example. Other positives: A lot of legacy games and many you can get on a physical SD Card. A cool game streaming service in NES Online (doesn't replace Virtual Console but I still like it alot). A lot of suprises late in its existence. Some unique experiments with established IP. Having three modes: Table top, home console and handheld saw some unique experiences. Also got to see a lot of handheld style games now made for console (Pokemon etc).

I would put the Wii and Wii U above it for the software and innovation alone. I still hold Switch in very high regard and think it may have saved gaming as the other two also did. I'd just say Switch was less consistent in numerous ways. Innovations weren't always supported across the board, ergonomically I lean towards the other two and we saw some bad political choices (removal of the two existing genders for character creators replaced with the choose a body type nonsense) and other woke crap slowly creeping in (even if only slightly). Also certain games I think should have really come a lot earlier on the system and I think the crazy innovations with HD Rumble are there, they still could have been far more reaching. Just my two cents. Also a lot of games should have had pointer and motion controls after loading up. While some did, games like Endless Ocean Luminous bizarrely left it out entirely.

Nintendo is probably doing it for political reasons. I hope more fans shout down bad decisions that actually matter. Its always the fake Nintendo fans that criticize stupid non-issues but when Nintendo does something really dumb they are silent. Mostly because they aren't fans and honestly just want degenerate slime infesting Nintendo. What happened with Paper Mario TTYD was a clear example, but its the woke weirdos who want that sort of thing so they promote it.

This Direct and you Liger with Metroid Prime 4 Beyond analysis is multiple warning shots fired towards the fake fans and the gaming industry. Nintendo is not fooling around this year. They have more coming later half of this year and 2025. So, the people who said they have nothing to play are people who are stuck with Sony and Microsoft and expect Nintendo to put games on their hardware. There's no chance in hell that's going to happen.

Very late to the party. But sorry for your loss for your grandmother. You have my condolences. We do have our differences, but hope you find peace with it all and find and cherish the joy in your memories with her including with all the great moments there. And I understand the hiatus you have in the channel. Take your time with it all and I do understand you deciding for the most part to come to an end in covering topics in regards to the gaming industry since it's probably tiring in getting through it all and a lot of the stuff you mentioned in a lot of your videos is still happening. There may be some stuff that's dated which I will get into another time, but I did appreciate the knowledge you gave during the time you did.
