If equal parenting was the goal for the states, having equal time with each parent to build a loving relationship would be priority. But with custody, support obligation, and the spouse. The relationship can be damaged. There is more to consider, that's why there needs to be a federal reform. Besides paying support , having my child for 50 % of the time. I still have to provide for them when they are with me. It really comes out to be more than when we were all together. Plus we could control our spending at that time. Child support can be a tough subject to talk about. But getting it out and tackling reform and change is needed. The law should give each parent the chance of no child support if they both can provide equal amount of time and split all Reasonable expenses evenly. That would be the first start of reform. If it doesn't work, then it can be modified from there. But the opportunity should be available. I just scratched the surface of my thoughts and experiences.
