7:29 why would F (family history) not affect H (heart attack)? Say someone has a family history, doesn't that affect the diagnose and steer it towards the Heart Attack? Why do you separate it and put it under Genetic Predisposition, it doesn't sit quite right

Is the probability of P(c=1|w=1) = 5/11 = 5/16 / (6/16 + 5/16)? I think this part seems to be wrong "For c=1, 5/8 * 1/2 = 5/8" at [15:19]?

Good catch, thanks. Yes, the final table should be [ 6/16 5/16 ]. This is unnormalized, so we need to calculate the normalization factor: 11/16 . This gives us a final distribution [ 6/11 5/11 ].

the graph at 16:44 is not the same as the one in 16:39, there is a new edge (G,S) that has now been added. I thought that the edge (G,S) should not have been added until as a fill in edge after introducing the node IGS?

Thanks for noticing this. I think you're right. This figure is from the Murphy textbook; it may be able to answer your question. When I revise this lecture for next year's class, I will double-check this.
