I enjoyed 6 quite a bit. Gan Ning was an absolute monster in that game. The renbu system was different, but I enjoyed it more after finding out how they implemented it.

I guess I really lucked out playing DW4 first. I played that game for literally hundreds of hours and it partially influenced me to pursue a degree in history as an adult. I played 8 and thought it was just okay, but really the series feels like it is just running in place and not evolving with the times.

the downgrade of animations from the ps2 era is really what killed the musou games for me, every strike, every hit animation is lacking frames. I dont mind if the horse riding is stiff, but when everyone on the battlefield is stiff while theres a 300 hit combo going on, theres a problem

The new DW origins looks just as shit as all the post dw5 games, youd think another dev would take a shot at this formula seeing as Omega force keeps dropping the ball, Sengoku Basara was fun for a while too but dw2-dw5 actually had you playing smart sometimes.

I always love playing RoTK X, the ability to play as created unknown officer, and join any faction u want, raise to the top from bottom. or even make ur own kingdom. Not to mention bunch sidequest and experiencing many 3 kingdom scenario through pov of unknown character, is so appealing to me. U can experience chibi from caocao side or liu sun alliance side as well, and both has different scene and dialogue. I kinda wish DW can be like that sometimes, at least to lesser extent. DW5 destiny and empire series kinda lean more into that route, but not quite that expanded yet. Hope this origin can be like RoTK RPG series, but in DW style.

IMO Warriors series always does best without English voices, so loss of them is actually a plus. My favourite ones are DW7E and SW4E, both never got English voices and are better for it XD Also the disgust with Xiahouji thing seems like something exclusive to easily offended westerners to me... I doubt anyone in Japan would treat vaguely historically inspired but still mostly fictional character as if she was the real person, and take offense in the name of that long dead person because the treatment of her by modern standards was pretty bad(But it was fairly normal at the time). It seems like something only Twitter users would be bothered with...

2:12 OMG, a game that still allows to choose a gender instead of a "body type" or "style" or some other imaginary inclusive term?! That's amazing... DW7 Empires remains the best though I see, and PC keeps being screwed over in terms of Empires games being stuck with only subpar DW8E and DW9E now XD Hopefully now that SW4 finally got released on Steam, we will also see SW4E release there too.

I liked how all the characters end up in one unified force in WO3U, but that was a real weakness for WO4. It just had too many characters and only, like, six of them mattered to the story, which really sucked if you weren't a fan of Zhao Yun or the other Chosen Ones.

Aight hear me out, im seeing a pattern where some game devs make a great game as kind of an apology to fans after a big flop these days. Ones that i can think of from the top of my head: -Resident evil 7 After Resident evil 6 -Devil may cry 5 After DmC -Sonic frontiers After Sonic forces -Dad of war (Years) After God of was Ascension -Halo Infinite after Halo 5 The key thing is, non of these examples were safe nostalgia pandering to the old fans to get cheap sales (Except for halo maybe a little), while some were more successful than others, they genuinely moved the series forward, or evolved it with new risky ideas that were tested and considered carefully. So if Origins is done right, it really has the chance to be a great return, and a new revolution for the series. Also yeah the trailer looks insane lol

I hope this game will be a reason to get PS5, looks promising, the idea could be lot of fun... but I fear lack of other DW characters will make naration and combat a little boring, but maybe they keep cool stuff hidden for now, to build hype closer to release, one can hope.

Basically, some character redesign is ok like Takeda Shingen , Imagawa Yoshimoto But some is weird like Honda Tadakatsu 😅

If it’s like Spirit of Sanada count me in, if it’s avatar only I’ll still buy it but not on release. I recently started to get into Dynasty Warrior games due to the historical cast and stages. I don’t want this replacing DW10. Also the music was mid compared to older games.

I think playing a mainline DW game as more of an observer character, free to move from side to side as you wish, could actually be kind of cool.

hopefully there is online coop not just two player. 4 players now i think koei needs to do away with two player coop one piece pirate warriors 4 has that so hopefully we get 4 players both online and offline they icant do offline then two player splitscreen is fine by me
