Now here’s the only thing, I get it’s a theme park ride, but in the construction manule it says the lift is something the baron build in his madness meaning it would be there & not a loft

I'm a lego beginner and I am wondering if it will be difficult for me to get the pieces I need from the build. How does this work? I purchase the instruction, and I order the required pieces from lego store? I do have the diagon alley lego set, but this makes my heart beat faster hahaha I have never ordered any pieces from lego store... so I have no idea how it will work and how much extra it will cost.... can anyone give me some brief idea?

Its a very long arduous task i'm afraid. I always print the parts list first then go on lego.com's pick a brick service. Go through each element and order the required amount of pieces (takes a couple hours), some won't even be on there. Then I go on bricklink.com and order the remaining pieces I need (hopefully from a single independent seller). Then its just a matter of waiting for the parts to arrive. The uncommon parts take about a month from Lego.com so you will need to be patient. As for price it is expensive, even including the parts from the original set you are looking around £200-£250. Hope this helps :)

The problem is diagon alley isnt up like gringotts so you have to do some extra modifications

I thought this GWP was a huge disappointment based on the set cost. The arch is out of scale for the grandeur of the main entrance in height and width. It’s basically a mediocre parts pack with a nice fig to add to the staff.

@@seejanebuild very true, a larger base with more plants and brickwork would have made the gwp more desirable . Eventually when I get constructing the Lego city I want to mils plate the whole thing and create a bigger arch like you suggested 😼

I can not give you a total price as I used a lot of the pieces from the original diagon alley set but I can say it is not cheap. This is available as a commercial set from a number of manufacturers. Either way, it's cool to see Lego used to make Post-Modernist architecture instead of the rather staid, stodgy styles you see in most official Lego releases.

For those in Europe, this can be bought from bluebrixx for 179,95 euro. It's a really nice modular for a proper price. But the quality of the bricks isn't comparable with the Danish brand. But I'm not saying it's terribly bad

@@davidvandenberg3116 it is a really nice set with great minifigs but 250 euros is a lot. It’s totally up to you but just think what other sets 250 euros could get you. It’s like half the new jabbas sail barge. 🙂
