I first heard this song on the album. by the time they had reached the chorus, I was trying to figure out if this or Hotel California was the best song they had ever realised. To this day I'm still unsure. Just like a lot of other fans I would love to see the guys release a top-quality video of them performing this masterpiece .

Feeling so honoured that I heard this song live.... One of the best experiences of my life, something I will cherish forever.. And yeah, as you get older, you start to think more, and the whole album is about getting older, and still struggling and going through heartache .. I personally loved it.. it's about a life lived, and still going on with all the emotions, and staying strong , no matter how old you are.. RIP Glen, even after all this time, still miss your voice and your talent.. See you on the other side... But not yet, Glen, not yet...

It´s unbelievable that there is no good live recording from this song. Waiting in the weeds is a classic song for a live recording with experiments and own new expressions. It´s so sad.

There was an excellent live version but Don Henley ordered it taken down .. apparently it was affecting his ability to count all the royalties that just keep rolling in.
