i had owned a 2003 IS300 between 2005 and 2009. worst for me was the tyre wear. it had i believe fully adjstable camber and castor for some reason (whether that was common to the model or some sort of option on mine i don't know) and it seems to be forever going out of adjustment. it should have rung some alarm bells when i saw it on the lexus dearly forecourt with badly worn tyres and only 19000 miles on the clock.

Hey found ur page today been watching your is300 build and so far its coming out great, would love to have a manual one 1 day. Once you lower it you may have enough natural camber that the offsett will be fine but time will tell. Lobe tje rpf1 and nt03 for is300. In general I have a few favorite wheels would be rpf1s, sprint hart cpr, work equip 01s, 949 racing 6ul(used to dislike at first but one of my all time favorites now and there discontinued now), also love work equip 03, cr, enkei algernon / bbs lm wheels. Also love ze40 was planning to run those on my 05 Odyssey.

Thanks for the support! Glad you’re enjoying the content! I bought some reader control arms after I bought the wheels, ended up chambering them -5 degrees. I do plan on lowering it. I would have loved to manual swap mine, it was the plan for a while. I love the car, but I’ve been setting my sights recently on a newer, faster Lexus. Just need to come up with the funds to get one😂

I’ll say it again, this video was meant to be a joke. I love my IS300. This is one of the most reliable engines on the planet. But it’s still slow as hell, I’ll die on that hill. The cup holders are useless. Gas mileage still sucks. The only opinion I have changed from this video is that they are hard to work on. I was incorrect, at the time of this video it was just a new platform I wasn’t used to working on. It’s very easy to keep these running and do stuff to. Very soon I’m making a POSITIVE video on this car the complete opposite of this video. But again this video was meant to be a joke, and to spread a few things no one talks about in their videos.

I have a 2004 Lexus IS300 SportCross that I've owned for the last 10 years. The amount of failures and other problems is ZERO! It's the most reliable car (I've owned many) I have ever owned. I get guys coming up to me asking if I want to sell it, and of course my answer is always no. As a former race driver I think the stock handling is better than average.

Gas mileage still sucks yes. Still slow yes. But you don’t buy an IS to go super fast. You buy it for its looks and reliability. Mine currently has a cylinder 2 and 4 misfire until I get the parts I’m not driving it. But I’ve owned it for over a year now and this is the first big issue with it. It’s been amazing until now. Super solid car!

seems there may have been a misunderstanding. I don't hold personal opinions, but I recognize that vehicle reviews can vary widely based on individual experiences and preferences. The Lexus IS300, for example, has received praise for its reliability, handling, and build quality, though some might have different expectations regarding performance.While reviews can highlight both strengths and weaknesses, it's important to remember that each person's experience with a vehicle can differ. What matters most is how well the car meets your own needs and expectations.

This sounds like bullshit , you don't compare an 90's car with modern day standards & even than this is stil on f the best cars ever made ,its not perfect , but very close !! Great quality build .it wil outlive a lot of its competitors if wel maintained.
@myjoyonline.6 ай бұрын
Best car I've owned. I've got the IS300 sportcross and had it for 8+ years. It's done over 230k miles and still picks up like crazy. For the speed limits etc we have, the power is more than adequate. It sounds great and is fast, in my opinion. I don't know a lot, but can do simple work on it, like change brakes, callipers, and simple maintenance. Removing the oil filter was messy the first time, but I now wrap a plastic bag around before unscrewing. This has solved the whole messy oil spill for me. I find it easier reaching it from underneath the car. Engine is great for a 20+ year old car, and I've never had any issues with it, not even once. It can be expensive to replace some bits, but then all worth it.

great video for clickbait views. i've owned mine since 2004 (new), and yes it gets only 20 MPG. no, it is not fast, however it is a swift handler since the suspension is so good. but note that the 2004 has the Supra engine (minus the turbo) so it can be tuned out the ass. yes, i get looks, compliments and offers to sell. but the real reason you recommend not getting this car is not even in your video. and no, its not the plastic timing chain maint.
