Great video! Thanks for taking the time and sharing! Just some advice.. I’d also recheck your broad heads , they are more than likely not hitting with your field points after changing your release aid.. Going to a much shorter release will most definitely impact your tuning. Shop should have at least done a basic paper tune after suggesting a new release. Good luck with it man!! Mathews and hoyt both have great bows. Shoot, any manufacturer with in your budget has really solid bows. If you have the chance, go to a pro shop that allows you to demo them and other bows as well. You might be surprised, the bow could just fit you better than others.

Definitely keep this one, they wont make it agian and it still works and you can still get new strings for it etc. If you are looking for a new bow, wait another month until they have all released the new bows. Next shoot them all, if you go shoot the new Mathews and the Hoyt side by side, and then throw in a couple of the other brands, you may be surprised which one "feels" better to you in your hand etc, dont pick the bow based off the way it draws, pick it off how it feels in the hand and shot, the draw you will get used to after a few reps. If you are like me, you will want to pull that grip off the older Mathews after shooting some of those new ones. Or that is my best wya tot describe it. I wanted a new bow this fall, but I also know they are just now dropping the 25's and a good portion of the main players have already released the new bows, Im still waiting to see what changes are made to the two I think I am narrowed down to, until then, I am using my switchback this year and it has always done me well,. In fall of 2005 I bought in one day, took it home, got it sighted in and harvested a deer the next evening and since then, many a years I limited out using it all season, using it during black powder and rifle seasons, I have nor gun hunted in over 10 years or so now and bow hunt is all I do. I gotcha on the subs, consider hitting us back as well. Good luck this season young man and have a blessed week and great season. Dale, I am trying to get my wife in the tree with me just for that video as well. Good luck Dale

I am always fascinated by people that intend to shoot at a live animal and do not care enough to learn how to properly use a bow ( or any other weapon). Poor form and technique so easily leads to a wounded animal. IMO, there’s no excuse to not learn AND practice proper? Punching a trigger release isn’t a good way to use it. I think people don’t realize the huge advantages gained when they are missing because they will not use proven techniques. And they intend to try and take the life of an animal. All to say “ look at me, see what I killed”.

@@fowltinefilms 👍👍awesome! Long ago I shot with the same technique you are doing. After changing to different techniques my archery became so easy. I couldn’t believe how smooth and easy with excellent results it became. There is no more struggling and wasted movement in drawing and making a great shot. Do you get tired after say 20-25 arrows? Do you struggle to hold on target or are you punching as the pin floats by? Been there done that and in the long run it sucks.
