Hello, how many days did it take to cover just the Taiga road ?
@letsgoagain12 ай бұрын
1 day from Radisson to Mirage Outfitters, 1 day from Mirage Outfitters to Brisay The same thing back. Total of 4 days. If I remember right it's approx 600 km each way, total of 1,200 km, all gravel. In some places deep and loose, in other places better. You will have to follow in the tracks of cars. The only vehicles I encountered were maintenance pickup trucks from Hydro Quebec. If you wave them they will stop and give you hints or directions.

Teo, can you tell us about the problems you encountered along the way? At least it will give an idea to friends who will go there.

The whole trip from Toronto to Ushuaia and back was 18 months and 90,000 km. As you can imagine, there have been many issues to deal with, too much to write.

Critically important was to do the maintenance as per the schedule in the manual, at the prescribed intervals, for my own peace of mind, for the health of the bike, and to maintain the warranty. Also, the maintenance visits were good occasions for the various dealers to identify and fix problems before they became critical, most likely in some remote place. Additionallly, tires: Michelin Anakee Wild or TKC-80. Changed them at every maintenance visit even though they may have had a bit of life left.

Yes, I remember that day ride very well. Even though towards the end I got lost from the group, I have great memories of that day. The ride shown in this video was 116 km / 76 mi and it took the full day. As you can tell from the pics, wasn't fast at all. The obstacles were many and diverse.
