I don't dream about owning any modern Aston martin or Lamborghini; any type of Bugatti or Pagani. I want this more than anything...and it being silver is the cherry on top. Enjoy it!!

Thanks so much. Silver is somewhat high on list for many they sold a good amount in Silver for a reason as it looks great I agree. Had 2 black 930s back in the days and dont miss having to clean it every time I drove it. Looks mean in black but Silver to me is just cool.

I also have an 87 930. Mine has the snorkle looking rear brake light that I've been told is an 87 only feature. That leads me to believe that yours is an early production car. I bought a new 86 944 in late 85 through the European delivery program and it had the high mounted brake light like yours. The 85.5 944 which was virtually identical to the 86 did not have that feature. Another possibility is that your 930 the high mounted brake light because it has a rear wiper and mine doesn't. I removed my snorkle brake light with the intention of leaving it off, but discovering the holes under it I decided to put it back on. Mine is GR with black heated sport seats. I have the Lindsey 3 piece Fuchs with Sport Pilot 315ZR35/17 on the rear with 45s on the front. Other than the wheels mine looks absolutely stock on the outside. Inside the only thin non stock is the Ruf boost gauge in the clock space and an AIC under the dash. The engine is race prepared internally with a large intercooler and a modified K27, Powerhouse headers and B&B exhaust and plenty of suspension mods. It was initially race prepared but too nice to put on the track so sold to me instead. The AC was also modified so that I can be cool on our hot summer days down South.

Very nice 930 I had a 86 non turbo version back in the days. I drove the hell out of it to only 100 mph and the handling is so tight!

I meant to say I only washed this car 3 or 4 times in 16 years. Also the sticker that goes under the hood the Porsche dealer actually put them on or not. If they did not this can be why your car may not have it. That sticker is called the Options sticker Not vin sticker. My bad.

Yes on the C of A. I think that Plush carpet came around 86.

It’s a nice example, i’m glad you see the value of the originality. I already saw dumb people here on KZbin doing terrible things to their 930. They doing it with an absolute firm belive that they creating value while the reality is they just screwing up everything. One nice slight modification would be great if you change thoes ugly US bumper block onto a nice Euro types. It would fire and still has the value.

Hi thanks I used to like the Euro bumper bumperets but in a way they look funny too being thin best would be take em off but im used to the US ones. With that said I tell people I have duel Parachutes im them.

Thanks. Actually the steering wheel on these 944 cars are perfect. I think 360mm nice grip. Much smaller then say the same looking one in the 911 and 930 of same era.

Nice car, how big is the turbo lag? From which RPM do you have full boost? I assume full boost is about 1 bar (over atmo.)

Hi the turbo on these 1987 Turbo Cup car is the K26/ 8 . If I recall peak torque is around 4000 rpm

Thanks for sharing all of the things that make these cars unique. I knew nothing about these before watching. You’ve got a great car there. How’s it drive with manual steering? I couldn’t tell but does it have rear seats? You should do another video while driving. Do the multi camera setup. Thanks again!

I hope to do that some day. Steering when parking is a bit stiff but really not bad. At speed its a dream light tight and precise.

In general at say 100+ how’s the overall stability of the car? Does it feel like it’s floating?

@@jefflebo5836 I do not feel like it is floating very stable car but much different then my 1987 930 hard to describe but both are unique. The turbo cup cars are made to go all out. This partucular Escort was built as an Endurance car for long long races and 6 12 and 24 hours in length so they are strong. Here is a race with the Rothmans turbo cup series cars.
