Highly disagree with this man. Lorazepam has saved my life from a living hell of severe anxiety, etc. ! Ill never quit taking it! It has no side effects for me. i take it as prescribed unlike other people that ruin it for everyone!!! 4 mg a day. 20 yrs+ Works for me for my severe anxiety, insomnia etc.

I just realized that I don't need to watch any more videos from this doctor because he has no f****** clue what he's talking about. Pws literally can give people PTSD I swear. After relying son subutex and now suboxone for more than 14 years now , I am again Tapering , Trying to Get off heroin with suboxone , then trying to get off the suboxone with methadone then round and round i go , now i have tapered down to 2 mg and using 10 mg betapam in the morning and dopiquil at nite , its hard and very uncomfortable but ultimately i have to get off and do my best to deal with the trauma and mental issues that keep setting me back , and making me sabotage every opportunity to better myself ..

I’ll tell you coming off of subs KILLS my endorphins. It’s like trying to suddenly carry a 400 pound body when you are usually a little over 100. The restlessness sucks. I already am as depressed as a person can get normally so that seems about the same. It makes me have sneezing fits coming off it too. I just went thru it and beat it 4 months ago. Then the devil brought me more. I can’t keep doing this to myself. The cravings are so strong. All I’d have to do is use my phone. I’m not afraid of change. I wasn’t happy on it so why keep messing with it. If I stay strong I’ll never have to go thru it again! I learned my lesson from methadone too. I was on it for almost 3 years. THAT withdrawal is INHUMANE! Enough so that I’m scared to ever mess with it again. (I actually learned from how awful it was. Usually I tend to think the immediate benefit out weighs the detox and methadone feels fantastic but it proportionally awful to come down from) I wish all of you luck, success, and happy withdrawals.

I want to know how the elderly get off Methadone treatment with chronic illnesses? I looked and could not find treatment for the elderly. My peers are all like me. What do we do, as a group? My "treatment" center counselors believe placing 60 plus yr olds with 18 and up for talk group therapy works, but only for the young ones also. This issue must be addressed as well as payment for treatment while on Medicare. It is a huge problem for those who are alone and on a fixed income! More and more elderly are alcoholics and addicts are coming out to the forefront. Why are we always tossed away like we are nothing after a certain age? I have lost many friends too young due to related issues like this. Some of us are giving in to the idea that we are stuck and will die in treatment. Drs are getting so paranoid they undertreat people. I knew a woman who lost both legs and had to use Ibuprofen. Same for dental pain and they don't cover dental or eyeglasses too. Methadone eats teeth so guess what!? I read the other comments and I am happy others have been successful. Just hoping for answers. There is a lot I am not saying.

How is suboxone any better than the opioid of choice if it's so hard to get off of? Why is the medical community so against the consideration of using Kratom as an alternative. There are countless success stories of addicts using Kratom to successfully stop opioid abuse.

Kratom is much milder than methadone and suboxone but yet much more effective in kicking an opioid habit. I can personally attest to this. Also, it was no problem stopping kratom once the opioid withdrawals were gone. As an addiction specialist, do you think that methadone and suboxone are not addictive? No detox is easy but you make it sound like Kratom is not an alternative. I strongly disagree.

Clinic Doctors in Australia don't seem to be able or willing to help since the opiate scare happened. The government basically said. Thats it. Stop prescribing it and offer no help. I pretty much get ignored and no offer of help when I explain my issues.

I hope someone can answer this for me. I waited 18 hours after using fentanyl then I took 4 mg of Suboxone and had no change in how i felt after an hour then I took 4 mg more after 2 hours and went into precipitated withdrawal, it was bad COWS scale of like 25. So I did more fentanyl(4 hours later) until i wasn’t in withdrawal anymore. But here’s the strange part about this. It’s been 60 hours since I did the last fentanyl and 64 hours since I took the Suboxone. I have absolutely no withdrawal right now, as a well seasoned opioid addict this is strange, i should be puking and sneezing right now. Has anyone experienced this?

A slow kratom taper over a month or two with Agmatine Sulfate (which reduces tolerance), followed by an antidepressant like Wellbutrin along with D-Phenylalanine (which inhibits the enzyme that degrades endorphins) makes it easy to walk away from an opioid addiction.
