I know, the Video is old, but I still have to ask: Is this realy a motorcycle in the gym?? 😂 Is it for decoration or does someone ride his bike all the way to the mats?

Fully functioning bike for Viking purposes. I believe it was one of the purples there who owned it and rode to class or one of the MMA coaches of that gym who owned it. Been 5 years, so its kind of foggy to remember. 😅

Yeah, apologizes for that, I believe that the body language shows enough to get his point across.

Excellent type of a video - not just one technique but rather a discussion of various options and tactics in general.

Why would you say you can't really attack once you're in reverse d h?

I believe he shares the opinion of Mendes bros that RDLR is more a transitional guard than an offensive position you can stably play.

Tried it today. Rolled over the other shoulder because i did not pay attention to that detail... ended up at the back too. It doesn't feel right yet. But isn't it like from top half guard...? Anyway, can't wait to try your version again. thanks for the great contant!

I recommend go to Espen Mathiesen's Instagram page and check it out there, I believe he posted a video on Top Matrix roll with some updates. Hope that helps and thank you!

What is the quarter guard that is mentioned in the video?
@LukaRBJJ
@LukaRBJJ 3 жыл бұрын
Quarter guard as in half guard style where you only trap his shin/ankle with your legs, it can be on the side that he showed thats considered quarter guard, if its on the other side it's more commonly named Quarter mount. Hope that helps!

At the end to take the back should he have the under hook or was it better be over ?
@LukaRBJJ
@LukaRBJJ 4 жыл бұрын
For sure need the underhook, especially to climb up/follow the hips.

What did he say when the Audio cut out lol
@LukaRBJJ
@LukaRBJJ 4 жыл бұрын
By now I dont remember lol, but he is talking about keeping elbow low to avoid underhook or even not chasing the underhook until the opponent approaches and gives the underhook himself. Hope that helps, check out his arm movement. :)

Thats a really good idea to have a "in house" tournement. And will for shure take away some of the nubee jizz out of your students when the are competing on bigger stages. Learning the rules of a comp, taking points and the hole set up at comp. Big cred to you !! Best of luck see ya on the mat
