Ok thanx I will try that. I feel my condenser mic is to soft on my recordings. I see on the bar it halfway green even on my loudest packs when I talk it's not going up to yellow at all. Think maybe it's my old presets and I forgot how to set it..😢

I think this is the maximum of the analog cabsim, i like the tone very much but it lacks the air and dimension which can be captured nowadays with IR. I think the mic is also capturing the cabinet vibrating (maybe, im not sure)

Thanks! I love how the Friedman has a presence knob for dialing down the top end fizz. All of the knobs are very musical, they allow you to shape the tone precisely.

Thanks for this. It was exactly what I was looking for. You had to wait SEVEN MONTHS? That's insane and is making me reconsider my order. Last thing....aurora blue? How could they send you a green guitar when you ordered aurora blue? That's crazy.
@ChrisHollandGuitarАй бұрын
I think someone may have brought my video to Jeff Kiesel's attention. A few months ago, someone asked Jeff Kiesel on his Q&A livestream: "why do you no longer offer Aurora Blue on a flamed maple top?" and his reply addressed the inconsistent results when staining maple with that color. I see that Kiesel is only offering Aurora Blue on swamp ash now. A lot of people have nitpicked the color/finishes on their Kiesels, but mine is one of the most egregious examples.

Where's the actual fingerboard? There is no fingerboard. It's all the neck. They just put frets upon a maple neck to simulate a fingerboard. That's just a cheap way around putting a fretboard on it. I've. Seen expensive guitars without the maple fingerboard, they also used the neck wood, but there's lots of craftsmanship put into it and it works.. But You might need an actual fingerboard. People get ripped off by this. That's how you make cheap guitars. By eliminating the actual fingerboard. I always look for a separation of the wood types now when I buy a maple fingerboard guitar. I've been ripped off by this a couple of times in modern guitars. It's very controversial. Be careful.
@ChrisHollandGuitarАй бұрын
Yeah, and this neck wasn't cheap either! Over 1mm of lacquer on the board, which was built up almost as tall as the jumbo frets. Had to scoop that out to do bends comfortably. Oh, and the frets were covered in lacquer when it arrived. I didn't know much about this stuff years ago, but now I know what to avoid.

So you don’t need compression?
@ChrisHollandGuitarАй бұрын
I personally use the compression filter before the limiter, but explaining what a compressor does, how it treats the audio, what all the parameters do, etc. is beyond the scope of this video. To the layman just trying to raise their levels without clipping, it might be a bit complicated. "Attack", "Release", "Threshold", "Ratio", non-audio engineers aren't really interested in that stuff, IMO. Also, the OBS compressor doesn't display any meters or how much gain reduction is occurring. The limiter is a lot easier to explain and get a usable setting from, so that's why I didn't even mention the compressor.
