There’s lots of decay and run down buildings in Japan. I heard that in the boom times of the 60s,70s. 80s Japan built so much ,that they really built more than they needed. Good to see even older buildings have been renovated.

I have taken that trail to that same dead end, but nonetheless, I love the Sagami trail's views!! I hope you can ride all three Japanese National Bike Routes while in Japan, they are all excellent!

Great adventure guys! Could I ask what wet weather gears you're using. I'm looking for a reliable and lightweight rain gear. Ride safe!

Sorry for the late reply, but we just used basic light waterproof shells. In the end we avoided riding in the rain as much as possible so only used them a few times. We found that scheduling around bad weather was better than trying to ride though it and getting wet anyway!

Reviewing the folding bikes it is of course difficult to know which one of the bikes that I like best but will mention the roads are harsh at times in viet nam for a number of reasons I’d say 20 inch! Overall the folding bike is a good way to travel !paul
