Cool! Have you been doing ballet long? I just started doing some simple ballet at home to work on my lines for aerials
@ApothecAerialАй бұрын
I have a very choppy history! I started at age 11 and trained seriously until age 14. Upon acceptance into a pre-professional company, I quit. I continued hiphop for a year, took a year off because high school was a nightmare and I couldn't cope, and rejoined ballet half through the year at age 16, inspired by the Nutcracker season and my baby sister starting to take ballet. I made massive improvements and got on pointe during this time, but didn't see a future in dance and again, high school trauma made it hard to push myself to go further. I found aerial, ironically, through volunteering with my ballet class and started training that summer when I was 17, and because that seemed more viable as an adult, I chose to pursue that as a career. I wasn't dancing except for taking a once weekly hula hoop class for a year ish. Then I found a start-up modern dance company through my aerial studio and that is how I've stayed dancing the last 5 years, though not training at a super high level. I just got back into ballet this January (2024) and I'm kicking myself for quitting because it is so much harder to find training options and be taken seriously as an adult. I'm going to make a back to ballet series on my channel if you're interested, and documenting my ballet journey :)

Great video just get a visual idea the A frame which can be tricky and sometimes when the tubes get stuck...Having studied all the manual it might be worth noting that the head of the pins should always be on the outside..It was something I missed when I first set up but it is a safety feature..I don't think the xpole instructions make it clear enough. Anyway, this video is helpful along with the manual. Ive been setting up alone for many years ..its less frustrating when you know its troubleshooty bits.

Yes that's something I'm a stickler about when I set it up with other people! Definitely helpful to make sure everyone is aware of this because it's those small details that add up to overall safety. Thanks for adding that note!

Cool You explained absolutely nothing. what was the point of this video😂
@ApothecAerial4 ай бұрын
@@BrittanyFabbri I never claimed I would explain anything. It's not a tutorial, just a visual demonstration . Some people are visual learners. I don't get paid to do this, so I recorded the setup in case anyone interested in buying the rig can see how it's done after receiving a request. Pretty simple concept. The rig comes with instructions, that's your explanation. I'm not the manufacturer and if you own the rig you own the instructions. 🫴 This video is for visual learners. All types of learning styles are valid. Sounds like you're more of a verbal learner and need a different video, which is totally acceptable. Just because it's not a video for you doesn't mean there's not a point or not helpful for someone else. I hope the things you create for funsies in your unpaid time are respected by others without entitlement to a certain outcome ❤️

Yayy!! I hope you love it! Don't get discouraged if you don't get everything right away, a lot of the skills are meant to be achieved in steps overtime! And if others are making it look easy, know that is where you will get with practice! Take lots of breaks and drink water, 2 classes back to back as a beginner might be a lot!
