I have a daughter who was raised in a Christian home. In her teens she seemed to come to know the Lord and believed in Him. She also was Baptized. In her 20’s however while going to college she started living with her boyfriend. She has for 3 years now. My husband prays for her salvation. But she often asks for prayers and talks about Him and what He is doing in her life with regard to her job. Thoughts as to if she is she saved or not? We all continue to sin and grow in our faith. So what is ok and not ok for being saved? Could she not be saved by Grace too?

This man is a true servant of the LORD. He reminded me that at my best I don't live up to GOD'S standards. Humility not pride is the way to approach GOD. JESUS paid the price for our sin. To come to GOD depending on our good works would be eternally fatal. "LEST ANY MAN SHOULD BOAST." Faith in the finished work of JESUS is the only way.

Pastor Voddie, I suppose you apply the same principles you applied to Jeremiah to the letter of Revelation to the Seven churches in Asia Minor? Specific time, specific people, specific circumstances etc.

I always take verses like that to mean He has a future for me in eternity. (But this was directed at Israel in a specific circumstance.) He never said we would be healthy or free of strife, yet still people will act as if sin or lack of faith is why people are unwell or not thriving. In fact, we were told quite the opposite. John 16:33 says we will have tribulation in the world but reassures us that He has overcome the world. 🙌

Your correct interpretation and pious spirit take away the joy and life found in the prophetic Scriptures!! Where’s the spirit from the true interpreter of the Word? If I sat under this spirit I would die spiritually, no thank you!

35:20 this is the only thing he is 100% wrong about . We are not "wealthier" than even 10, 30, 60 years ago ... Today you must work 10 years to afford what used to take 6 months at the same exact job... Our(the USA) cost of living is worse than Mexico .. Mexico started deporting USA citizens for influencing their own cost of living.

I've even heard this numerous times by black Christians who try to poke fun of white Christians. I've known PRECISELY ZERO of my white Christians who believe he was white. I'm not sure where that assumption originated, but it's silly. They clearly haven't even thought it through.

Points taken away from this video 1. Read scripture contextually, who is it written to? and what does it mean. 2. What the scripture means is different from how it applies to me 3. Optimism is the key to staying faithful in the midst of worldly influence, knowing my actions today are towards the kingdom yet to come will help me to not think 2 dimensionally but in the HOPE of the kingdom yet to come.

The problem with opposing theonomy is that you often find yourself opposing the word of God. Was Paul a theonomist when he took an Old Testament animal husbandry law and applied it in the New Testament era in regards to pastors? The New Testament writers assumed the abiding validity of the law of God.

Romans 14:4 & then Romans 4:23 - not only for 'their' sake was it written. Matthew 4:4. The context of scripture is you. If it is a 'love' letter from God to you then read it that way. If you take it only in context then the Bible is just a history book. Context matters, but it requires discernment. Judging by your comment, you probably already know this. Trust His guidance. There is no one else. Voddie is good & straight, but I can't say amen or ouch on his point of context (but context is dangerous like a hand grenade: it can do it's job, but if you're not careful you can get maimed or maim someone else). I think Voddie is speaking in safe mode. When thinking about context remember 1 Corinthians 9:9. Paul would be beat with rods again today by the contexters for making that jump that is applicable to every servant of God. But others stray so far that context must be taught & highlighted (2 Peter 3:16).

That's good that it brought you hope, but the scripture isn't addressed to you. Context is important here. This scripture was addressed to the Israelites. Charismatic doctrine is blasphemous. Please dive deeper.

A decent message however pastor Vodie as is the case with so many of our pastors who actually uphold scripture misses the fact that Bush was not acting on behalf of defending God or scripture in marriage, but rather working the other side of the dialectically managed drama of left v right which now years later has metastasized into an attempt to purge the GOP of all Christian foundation. Pastors need to understand this- if it were expedient for Bush to push for gay marriage in order to further his status in the anti-Christ global cult, he most certainly would have done that…..
