Yep. Been living here for under ten years, and man, it really took me off-guard when I first arrived. People here value friendliness over good character, I think that’s the crux of it. That, and Minnesotans view everything as a moral binary, but will make excuses for people who display bad character because they’re afraid to accept that there is evil in the world. Unless said person breaks the mold in some way, in which case they’re ceaselessly judgmental. I feel like I’m living in Mars.

Your message today about the "Christian Kiss-off" reminded me of a recent Rotary speaker on the topic of grief that parlays well as a caring and nutritious response and/or question (preferably delivered verbally) for someone struggling or hurting. "Do you need to be heard, hugged, or helped?" I think that question quickly gets right to the heart of the person. Understandably, as a guy to a guy , that may feel awkward using the word "hugged" in certain relationships. If that's the case, omit "hugged"!

Thanks Erik for the message today about fear and seeking/praying for God's wisdom for those inevitable challenges and difficult decisions we all face. It reminded me of another positive message (below) I read some time ago from a source I don't recall. The Bible shows how he (Jesus) chose stillness over distraction, community over shame, surrender over fear, delight over cynicism, humility over self-importance, gratitude over victimhood, and service over complacency.

I like nice and lived in many places. The city minnesotans are the worst. Terrified of offending people, especially constant criminals, because of their race. Stands up for them more so than their own people. Zero sense of personality or style, it's all about fitting in and being liked. I notice the two faced- ness about these ppl too. Could it be theyre so desperate to be liked and that gullible? It's hard to tell, but the same theme.

IF you appreciate clannish behaviors, home spun false sincerity, smug people & more white guilt than Betty White can shake a lutefisk casserole at, Mn. is for you!!! ➕ They successfully defunded the Mpls. Police Dept. due to “systemic racism.” Hard to believe, but now they’re crying that they’re not enough police & they’re calling that racism. If you just met someone & they told you they have two personalities, you’d run, but this is acceptable behavior in the Twin Cities. Read the Script/Lock Step “nothing but harmony exists in Sanctuary Cities” OR ELSE ➕ Minnesotans voted for infamous, anit-Semite, incestuous, embezzling Illhan Omar 2X’s knowing her wretched past/present behaviors. There once descent schooling system has now shamelessly plummeted into the sad abyss of CRT (everybody’s inherently racist?) while telling your child to keep there new venomous knowledge from there parents. Definitely a blissful sanctuary city for criminals. Recently, a Cuban Undocumented man with such a long list of criminal activity that not even Cuba would take him back. Adding to his long nightmarish list he should of been in jail after several recent domestic assault charges & setting fire to his apt., but an Mn. judge saw him fit to be let out which he than decides to decapitate his girlfriend (in broad daylight in a car) with a machete, on a thoroughfare, no one suspected a thing…..that’s so Minnesota. They never see, hear, say anything until it affects them personally. Than it’s everyones problem!!! Not to mention the insane amount of car jackings & out breaks of early morning/evening burglaries at (appropriately named) Target stores in which everyone in the community talks about, but you never hear about on the local news. However, they will go into great lengths in telling you all about the juggler at the Renaissance Festival that broke his arm because that’s “relevant, in-depth, courageous journalism.” It’d be laughable if this beautiful state didn’t continue to burn in its own self-edifying Mn.Nice B.S. @Zeus Truth .....NOPE N.Y. Rocks especially once they get the balls to ditch the Quomosexuals. SERIOUSLY Mn.‘s so weird. They’d like to be considered The Wokiest/Progressive State in the middle, but have have yet to achieve it. Governor Walz allowed Mpls/St.Paul to burn down for 3 days after The Floyd Riots costing lives & Millions of taxpayers dollars . ➕ In order to attain a legal script of there lame strain of anemic cannabis options they treat you and your Dr. like criminals. The Dr.’s that dare deem you as a patient that could truly benefit from it are given crazy amounts of busy wrk. to initiate your enrollment & once that’s done than it’s the patients turn & that’s where the real fun begins. It’s not enough that it takes months for your enrollment to be green lighted, but than you have to go on the Mn. dept. of health’s antiquated web site & place your order via apt. to the dispensary. It just sucks knowing that there are legit, hurting people who could honestly benefit from a med cannabis script and yet they are treated like criminals. Oh” & the fact that you have to go through this pathetic process every 2yrs. for an evaluation & pay for it, sucks again. It’s unfortunate that “enlightened Mn.” is still in the cave & people who are hurting have to play this unnecessary game while other states dispense cannabis just for recreation, WHAT?
