The day I Quit music quite literally the day I connected to the Quran on a deeper level. Was gradual, finished the Quran with relative comprehension in the month of Ramadan, went back to listening to music and focusing on what was being said and naturally was repulsed by it and replaced with listening to stories of the prophets. Great advice. For me I stopped listening to music and Allah provided me with better things Alhamdullilah. Try doing things with belief that Allah will show you whats right and He will show it to you Insha'Allah
