You can customize the home screen by long-pressing the "ok" or centre button on any application and waiting for a few seconds. When you here a beep, a context menu appears where you can add the app to your home screen, delete, move it up/down etc.

Hello! A very interesting podcast though I agree with the previous commenter that you may want to spend more time with the phone to know its features and present them to us. Especially relevant for people who are deciding whether to purchase the phone. Indeed, returning to an app from the home screen doesn't bring you to the same position where you left off. However, you can long-press the "home" button and go to Recent apps. Down arrow to the app there and it will bring you to the same position you were previously on, before going to the home screen. Hope this helps.

Great video lol as a lover of watches, I also have the regular talking atomic watch as well. I have two of them and one is smaller and one is bigger. I actually switched out of my smart watch to use my atomic watch. It actually goes with the phone and does not go with the clock in Colorado. It actually relies on the phone to send it which is very interesting. Well anyway, I do have a couple of Apple watches as well. I do use my series 10 for sleep tracking and every day use along with my other talking watches the ultra two is the one I used for work because it is rugged big and beefy and I love a big watch on my wrist. I have something about wearing a huge watch I love watches anyway the benefits of a smart watch are so far and Beyond, but what you said was the digital crown is used to bring up Apple Pay it’s actually the power button you click the power button on the side twice Very quickly and that will bring up your bank card. The regular talking watch is great as well if you want to use that if you don’t want notifications, which actually I switched out of my Apple Watch, which I have been using all day texting receiving messages at work and I switched to a regular talking atomic watch now I’m at home just unwinding for the day. Then tonight when I go to sleep, I will change out of my atomic talking watch put my Apple Watch series turn on, and I will sleep with it as I will sleep track the cool thing about the smart watch versus other watches is that you can sleep track health benefits, paying for everything if you want on Apple Pay also, you can actually have it. Wake you up in the morning without hearing your phone. It will pulse you Whereas the talking watch doesn’t have the benefit of that. It will wake you up, but you have to put it close to you and if you wear it, it might be a little uncomfortable at night plus the regular talking watches don’t have sleep tracking anyways I do think that talking watches are great. The problem with the talking watch though is that they are not waterproof or water resistant like your smart watches you can actually put your smart watch in the water and you will have no problem. You have an eject Sound to blow the water out of the speaker but on your talking watch you have to be kind of careful so you don’t get water in the speakers.

Question: If I purchase one of these and try to adapt it to get some slight peripheral vision (by carving a bit out around the edges) will I totally defeat the field of vision? (Stop laughing. I really want to be able to play music and see my hands, figers at the same time).... Thanks.

No, the field of vision won't be affected as long as you don't do anything to the lenses inside the headset.

I love that technology is getting to this point. I’ve been saying for years it’s crazy the best we have for accessible technology in day-to-day life is a stick or an animal. Seems outdated with things like self driving cars around. Save up a stash of plastic bread sack closure tags. As friends to save them for you! Put a rubber band in the slot, and tape the end so it won’t slide off. Put a sticker on the tag and record it. Place the rubber band around any object, such as a jar or can. You can then throw the empty jar or can away and still have a recorded tag for your new item.

I’ve had mine for 2 weeks and find them helpful for many tasks….reading instructions, menus, viewing my iPad/tv, simple tool usage, viewing the traffic signal to walk, etc. for me, the nose clips are joy comfortable. As a magnifying device alone, the price is too high. However, I’m told there will be updates to likely include ocr, possible streaming and tweaks of the color filtering.if these happen within a 12-24 month timeframe, I’ll be much happier with this investment! Btw, I’m counting fingers at 2’ in one eye and 20/400 in the other.

I am visually impaired and rely on the Windows accessibility features for visual enhancement. For some reason, dark themes don't play well with online forms such as surveys and bank statements, and even the gmail table. This is the case in both Edge and Chrome. It took awhile to discover that the inverted colors toggle is off by default in Windows 11 and set up if you find it useful. In order to get the forms to render properly in your browser, toggle off dark mode [l alt][l shift][prt scr] and toggle on invert colors if you need it [ctrl][windows][c]. This works for both Edge and Chrome. As a person with functional vision, I prefer Chrome because it does a better job with KZbin video rendering when you magnify the browser screen. Edge often cuts off half the screen. I've run into some other odd rendering issues with Edge and graphics for online pdfs. So Mr. Gates, I am sticking with Chrome unless my vision worsens to the point I need a screen reader.

You don't have to be zoomed in to use the TTS function. Just have the magnifier on, hold Control and Alt down then left click where the text that you want to have read starts. You mentioned this being a more precise method. I don't get how that's the case. It seems as accurate as all GPS-based services. Also whay use this app rather than any other GPS naviagation app. Don't they all have a means of dropping a ping (sharing your location)?
@VisionForwardTechConnect2 ай бұрын
You raise some good points. I can think of some advantages over using a pin. For example, if you are a screen reader user dropping a pin may be difficult if you are not in the location that you want to drop the pin in. If you know what the three words are already, then it's much easier to share. For example, let's say you want to schedule a pickup from a location that you regularly go to but that's out of the way. Once you have found the three words for that location once, they will always be the same. Therefore it's very easy for you to schedule the pickup in advance by sharing the three words with your pickup driver whenever needed. The accuracy is more a comparison to being given traditional locational information. For example, if you say 'meet me at the concert by the drinking fountains' then it may be a large concert with many people and difficult to find the fountains. If you have a 3 words location then you know the specific 10ft by 10ft grid they will be in.
@motobojo22 ай бұрын
@@VisionForwardTechConnect Your scenarios presume that the recepient will be familar with the WTW service and that they would have WTW on their phone and know what to do with th three words that you have remembered and are conveying to them via some other form of communications. If you are sending it to them through the WTW app that is a scenario where conventional dropping of a pin would be the same. In effect you are sending them a URL that opens a GPS app (like WTW or Google Maps) that has the location infomration included in the URL. I have URLs squirled away for my locations of interest that I can copy and paste or share quite easily. Or I can have locations in my favorites in google maps (or other GPS apps). Open them and easily share them. I'm just not getting an understanding of the value added of W3W. The encoding of location information in 3 words is interesting and somewhat cool, but I'm just not understanding the value added that would justify using yet another app. Yes, W3W is can be more accurate than a non-specific verbal location information, but that just means the information provided wasn't precise enough. But yes, that has some value. How easy is it to get the 3 words you describe in that scenario if you aren't actually at that location?
