Thank you so much for the contributors to this video! My son was diagnosed at Birmingham Childrens Hospital back in 2004 and I remember there was so little known about CF amongst Asian communities at the time. We live in the US and feel lucky to have the best care and resources available to us. I hope to share this video with many communities in the hopes of raising more and more awareness to help those less fortunate with CF. thank you CFRI

Thank you for sharing this video! We agree, spreading more awareness among underdiagnosed communities is critical. If you check out our "Diversity and Inclusion" playlist, we have several awareness videos available to various underdiagnosed CF communities available to share as well.

My daughter has CF she was diagnosed at 11mos but suffered all 11 doctors and ER didn't know or weren't familiar with CF, she was always in the hospital in 2 weeks out 2 weeks went on for 10mos what they thought was always pneumonia or respiratory. The day she came home she went through pampers like crazy by 3 Mos I couldn't keep up I needed help so our local church helped and still no one knew why. She stop growing at 6mos her head was the only part growing, FINALLY pediatrician referred her to children's hospital at 10 mos. and 1mo of testing comes to find out she was born with CF an didn't know how she survived without medication we were very blessed no..2 she was also diagnosed with hypo thyroid. As soon as I got her situated with medicine and treatments she finally got strength to stand up and take steps 3 Mos later. This is my daughter Destiny story. We (brother, 3 sisters and myself) have a purple ribbon with the saying JUST BREATHE and the the heartbeat line. She is 27 1/2 💜💜💜💜💜💜~💜💜💜💜💜 6 5

Anna, I cannot express how much respect and gratitude I have for you--your honesty about your experiences with CF and now also colon cancer Stage IV, and your mission to inform others--especially those with CF. Your message is vitally important: that colon cancer doesn't have to be others' story, that people in the CF community have to advocate for earlier testing. I so wish it weren't your story. Thank you for using a rotten situation to help others. Sending hope--you already have strength and so much courage!

Don’t call us Latinx.
@cfri.cureCF3 жыл бұрын
Hi Mario! We selected the word "Latinx" after a long and thoughtful decision-making process. However, we do value your feedback and would like to know, what terminology do you prefer? Thank you for reaching out.
@MarioRodriguez-gr8wc3 жыл бұрын
@@cfri.cureCF if you want to speak Spanish say Hispano or Latino. If you want to speak English say Latin American or Hispanic. Gallup and Pew have conducted research on this topic. The vast majority rather be called either Hispanic or Latino. Only 3% of the community identifies as Latinx. We find the term Latinx to be a form of cultural and linguistic imperialism.
@cfri.cureCF3 жыл бұрын
@@MarioRodriguez-gr8wc Thank you Mario, for your insights, information and concerns regarding your preferred terminology. Please know that we have a highly invested, engaged, dynamic Diversity and Inclusion Committee which has several Latino members, and the use of Hispanic/Latinx was made after a great deal of research and discussion. As an organization committed to serving and engaging with our wonderfully diverse CF community with the utmost respect, we are constantly evolving and will continue to seek a better understanding of the communities we serve.

Just do something that will make you money whilst you sleep, no matter how little. This pandemic has been a perfect eye opener for us all to really see how life can be without your usual income stream. It's recommendable for you to have a side hustle. The best thing you can do for yourself is to find a way to make money even while sleeping especially now we have to work and earn from home, Having different streams of making money is the solution to survive. And I've been doing that by investing in the stocks, bitcoin and dividends, even real estate. I've earned impressive profits I can't mention here working with Mr. Austin Grey through his registered investment company. Kindly reach out to him via austingrey64@gmail He will guide you. The rich see an economic crisis as the perfect time to invest, they're a step above others because they see an opportunity where others don’t
