My wife's from Tokushima and I've had the chance to dance with the Miyuzuki Ren dance group during the festival a couple times. A truly awesome experience. It's crazy how sore you can be after on day but still dance the next day. :D

I know your post is 5 years old, but you are sooo lucky to have participated in this festival. This is one of my bucket list wish and I hope next year (2018) I will be able to participate in as MANY dance festival I can... whether it's in Tokyo, but the ultimate would be in Tokushima. Wish I knew who to get in touch with so I can join a dance group.

This is a tune played in the AWA country known as TOKUSHIMA on the island of Shikoku for the summer OBON festival. This is played now for the festival called AWA dance. It is traditionally a festival which is a very big and major festival in Japan and known all throughout the country. The lyrics are "if you dance, you look like an idiot and if you watch you are an idiot so might as well dance and be an idiot too" i have danced in this festival. It remains the best I have seen in my home Japan.

Easy guys, I think there's a confusion between "seed" and "seed potatoe". A "seed potatoe" would be a potatoe that would be used/planted like a seed, to start the growth of a potatoe plant.
@bekibooo
@bekibooo 16 жыл бұрын
you can, but most grocery store vegetables are treated so that they do not grow any further once you take take it home. same with garlic and so on. you can get a seed potato at a nursery and plant that, or get organic potatos bought from your local farmers market. let it sit in light for a few days to encourage growth. then plant it in a larger container or strigtht into the ground. do not over water. before you know it, you'll have many potatos from having planted a single potato! try it
