Sad it was these same people who started the Civil War by refusing to stop enslaving people. Many lives lost because rich people refused their slaves their freedom over their gluttony for more riches. I'm just an ordinary person and not a flaming liberal either. I've never been a fan of opulence in life. While so many do without, it seems shameful to be so self-involved and have so much.

Rebuild the Mississippi Delta and let the Mississippi River flood to rebuild barrier islands and youd have better offshore wind projects

My grandpa was a black WW2 vet. He said that the German POWs were treated better than Americas very own black soldiers.

But in the first three congressional elections for that black-majority district, it was a white woman, Lindy Boggs (the long-standing incumbent) who won.

Stop glorifying these horrible people. If they had land it was because they sole it after they caused a genocide of the Indigenous people of that land. If they got wealthy, it was because they sat down in the shade as they watched their own brutality inflicted upon African people. These people were wretched vermin who would not even speak to or share a meal with those fools that praise them today. People who value this look ridiculous.

My baby sister and brother were both born in Zwolle Louisiana which was a few miles North of where we grew up in Anacoco Louisiana. We had 2 stores a post office , 1 restaurant Rosie’s Cafe and plenty of churches because our parents and grandparents took us to church and believed in our education.

Mr. Marin’s spirit & work ethic still shines in many of us who call Louisiana home . We were so blessed to grow up in this part of the United States where families lived close by each other and went to church as well as the pea patches together.
