Total garbage interface. Makes no sense at all. Just terrible and not even close to a work flow improvement.

i have this feeling that in 10 years time, it will still look "a bit weird". That last 10%-5% might be ever lasting. Same with LLM hallucinations. But, 90% perfect is still very good. Hope i'm wrong.

Eventually would like to use VP for productivity, however, still enamored with its entertainment functionality… VP’s practicality is in private or home use. Though it can be used in public, it’s just not the wisest of decisions, unless in a controlled and safe environment… 🤔

They screwed up the regular prompts and watermarked all previously done prompts, even at paid subscriptions, this is far from an improvement.

Is it possible to watch Apple TV immersive video on the Quest 3 with their latest Meta Quest Spatial TV app which has Apple TV?

I love my AVP but yes…..Apple doesn’t provide the best comfort its own product. You must buy third party accessories to create your own comfort if you want to keep it. I did. What I have now is perfect. Comfortable and no field of vision issues. I hated the binoculars-like view.

I like the device but agree its too heavy. I started dreading the weight. I dont know how this went through apples developer process. They launched a device that imo is unusable for extended periods of time. Then charge 3.5k for it.

Wow, surprised how few subscribers you have compared to the content quality. Good luck on your KZbin quest. I have noticed that it is difficult to do well with wide aspect videos. Not sure if it is KZbin just trying to push everything to Shorts where they don't have to pay very much.

I think there are people out there that must have weak necks or small heads. I've had my vision pro for 6 months and only once in that time did I feel any level of fatigue, and that happened after watching 6 hours of 3d movies. But there are a plethora of inexpensive add on bands that you can get to help offset the weight for people that feel that it's too hefty.

Get the Anna Pro band and remove the light shield and the device is absolutely perfect. Without the light shield, AVP can be closer to the eyes and you get a greater field of view.

You’re wearing it way too tight if you have red marks. It shouldn’t be tight against your face, just lightly resting on it. I wear mine 3-10 hours a day. Maybe my face is different 🤷

I LOVE my Vision Pro, and anyone who complains about weight or fit should simply buy any of the aftermarket straps. Grow up!

I live in Europe and on the way to transitioning from 23 years of traditional video content creation to immersive video shooting. It's very difficult but worth while. Computer chips like the m1 to m4 and Qualcomm with the risk architecture are getting faster, smaller and less energy hungry. We are on the way to serious change in the coming years.

I recently bought an Apple Vision Pro but am interested in the $1,900 MeganeX Superlight 8K which should ship in the first quarter of next year. It weighs less than one third of the AVP's weight (185g vs 650g) and has higher resolution (13.5 vs 11.5 megapixels per eye), presumably without the intentional soft focus of the AVP as identified by Karl Guttag. However, it won't be quite as bright, and the AVP is already disappointingly dim at just 100 nits, meaning it can't truly display HDR despite being Dolby Vision certified. I'm using the two light seal cushions stacked atop each other without the light seal to add 13° horizontally and 6° vertically. The FOV with the light seal is unacceptably low for me. There's also the Play for Dream MR with the same resolution as the MS8K, and the Immersed Visor at 12.5MP per eye, both supposedly also shipping next year.

No games = dead in the water. Even if it costs $500 instead of $3500. Without a large game library people have no reason to pick up the device, this is true of any gaming system. Apple might not wanna think of it as a gaming system but look at their competition in the industry. Their competition certainly thinks it's about gaming.

Yep. This is why I returned mine - because as awesome as the short experiences were, I primarily had hoped to use it as a display for working, and once I realized how uncomfortable that was going to be, I couldn't justify the $4k price tag for a device that'd sit on my desk, unused most of the time.

I use my Vision Pro for work a lot. I can normally do about two hours in it. I love watching movies and content. It’s like the best thing about it. I do wish they were more free app. The one app that I really wish it had is KZbin

Everyone is different, but i think the weight of the AVP is fine i can wear mine for hours and thats with the solo band..

I have the Anapro head strap and frankly I was underwhelmed. I could only wear the solo knit high with it and it genuinely didn’t feel good. I changed to the thinner pad and things improved a little. Like you, I find the helmet style best and initially bought a conversion 3D piece from Etsy to allow my Quest 3 favourite BoboVR M3 and S3 Pro to fit. This was the most expensive to import to Australia and was a complete con job. It didn’t do its job with the halo element being so high that when worn the VP was under my nose!!!! I bought a cheap no name AliExpress helmet that has a second halo segment between the back cushion and this is so comfortable with either light seal on or off. Apple really needs to lift there game with the provided head straps. The solo knit band looks great but after 1 hour of use, I was ready to take it back. When J demoed here in Australia, they did it with the alternative strap supplied and said that was a change because so many complained of fatigue just from the demo in the US.
