It's so cool to see you still riding. I saw you at a demo on a beach in France in the summer of 87 (I think), you were with Josh White. I also remember the soundtrack of the demo, that's the day I discovered The Beastie Boys. "The Licensed to Ill" album was the soundtrack of that demo.

I want to know what all these old school innovators did after freestyle went out in the late eighties. How did they survive? What did they do?

Martin, Breakdancing, and the Pause-Stop-Balance should be a Requirement for All Freestyle. and not the Figure Skating, Ballerina moves that most are doing now.

Look at the shape you're in. I know this is 2 years ago or more but damn dude. I really hope I look that good in 13 years. Better start now. 😉 You were one of my childhood heros dude. Before RAD too. I collected BMX Plus and BMX Action when I was a kid. Used to cut them up and put the pages on my walls and ceiling. Then it was skateboarding. You and Dr. Air (Josh White), RL Osbourne, Eddie Fiola and too many to name. I love watching these old stylish tricks. It's changed so much over the years. Just like everything I guess.

I salute those who can still do this past 50. I'd eat the pavement and probably become the master of singing falsetto too. King Diamond or Franky Valley look out!

This is a good one for some of us to go for who are old geezers rediscovering the glory of freestyle. One way to look at it is adding all kinds of variations to the infinity roll and expanding way out in all kinds of directions. You won't eat the pavement too hard. I'm letting the young and barbaric go for the savage kind of modern street riding.

Trying to relearn these things after many years of not riding is an adventure. It's almost like starting completely over. Cheers to those who never really had to worry about that. Perhaps flatland freestyle is actually a good way to face older age. Ride on! Martin Aparijo is still inspiring.
