I failed this last night. I got to dog. Had like 20 men left. This has taught me both my mistakes. 1, I split my army on both choke points so they couldn't escape, then got massively damaged on the right side when they flanked via reinforcements. Secondly. My mistake was too many pikes. Not enough gun

It's a surprisingly rough battle in the introduction part of the game. I'm a bit ambivalent about the difficulty spike on this battle, given that it is in the "tutorial". While I feel it's a good idea to show players tactics, like how to deal with enemies flanking etc, I also feel they probably could have toned it down a little bit... So while I recommend playing on Normal battle difficulty, this specific battle - don't be afraid to put the slider to Easy for this one IMHO.

It's a mod. 😊 I really dislike the default orchards due to having to be very precise on the minmaxing involved in making a circle of orchards, and it does not look good in my opinion. You can easily get an orchard setup with the default behaviour that are as - even more - productive, as the ones I have, using the tree density specialists/items. But this just saves time and looks better IMHO.

How come the 40 workers who are assigned to new sector as a condition to opening it then disappear once it's opened up and are not returned to the previous sector while new sector sits deserted despite having built construction office and 2 stockpiles.

It's coming! I have just had some really bad headache days again, and I'm still recovering. I've temporarily discontinued the use of my eye drop medication and ordered new lenses for my computer glasses, so hopefully that will resolve the issues! I expect I'll have the next episode out Thursday, or Saturday at the very latest! 😊

That "We can't deliver this all the way to the Arctic!" message paperclipped onto the newspaper reminded me that for all my hours in Anno 1800, I never did delve into the Arctic stuff. But the Arctic maps in 2250 were pretty fun.

can you help me? i habe an 4050 6gb and 16gb ram with an i5-12500h so 12th gen can i play with all dlcs and like all islands build on etc. ? online everybody just says yes but i cant imagine my laptop can handle so many stuff

Just a quick thing, I don't know if you already fixed it, because I'm not yet done with the Episode. Since I do not know if it works that way, this may be redundant. You are importing 6000 Wool from Docklands on Pumu Industries, right? Since your Islandstorage is only 4200 wont you use up all the Wool before Tobias returns, because you can't store all that you need? If you know what I mean and if it even works taht way in Anno 1800. Anyways, great series, really fun and informative to watch ^^

The fact, that you can´t even guess the results in most cases is awfull design given the little info on every option. There should be clear outcome choice like in Frostpunk. If you have to look up results on the internet instead of enjoying the play, something is wrong.

Yeah, of course! I buy them in bulk at Eli Bleakworth"s prison, and the propellers at Archie's. And to avoid getting RSI from the clicking I use the tool Anno 1800 UX Enhancer 😊

@@bertanderson2548 Not very long. To buy 30 of each, I'd say 20 minutes, unless you are really unlucky with the RNG that is. The most annoying part is dragging all the items on the ship slots 😂

@@bertanderson2548 It *really* helps using the UXEnhancer tool. It clicks through really fast. Sometimes a bit too fast, and even skips over the item sometimes when it zooms through. I usually bring a bunch of cargo vessels (late game, when I don't care about the money), set UXEnhancer to buy 30 Captain Kadijah and 30 Port Dealer (Salima might be better than Port Dealer for the loading speed bonus, but I am not at all ready to swap out around 150 Port Dealers 😂), and then just skip from ship to ship as they fill up. Then the same with Controllable Pitch Propellers at Archie's. And of course transmutation at Nate's for the legendary propellers. That's probably the most time consuming part, after moving the items to the ships one by one.
