Nice video< however for those who own these w210's I can tell you that a 2001 e430 (which I have), has changed the backing support to a silicone/rubber type and there is no degradation. So you will have to re-establish the contacts by other means or order the ribbon kits you can by online.

Im going to buy a 1997 c200 with the top half of the mileage pixels dead would this be a cure.If i had to change the ribbons would that set the mileage to zero thanks for any replies.

Did nothing for me. All the old bulbs decided to blow with all the knocking around so putting it back together and seeing it was worse was fun.....

Used this trick but it didn't really work for me meaning the actual LCD's are fooked.... Made the Time and Gear Position better - actually see what I'm in now - but not the Time or Temp... But great video - thanks!

Great instructions but something went wrong. Side displays got a litter better however, my miles and information display disappeared on me.
