We had a similar issue with another add-on and realised that in 4.2.3 (we switched from 4.1 to 4.2.3), Blender has added the word extensions before the add-on in it's path folder to add-ons. So we had to go into the code (in notepad), then look for that particular line that comes up in the error message that Blender gives you and adjust the path folder of the old add-on to match the new path and save it. Then restarted and all the features of the add-on were available. Hope that wasn't too confusing and you know what I mean... Cheers

Noob mistakes you've made: - used a Shadows node for the heightmap instead of the color map, thereby creating indents in the metal, which doesn't make sense because strings aren't strong enough to burrow into metal. - fiddled with the samples parameter on the Shadows node indicating that you have no idea wtf ur doing. - used the heightmap for roughness. You should never do that. It means lower discs aren't shiny, which is wrong. - added tiny bumps to the discs (which are supposed to be tiny mirrors!) indicating that you have no idea what PBR is about and what microsurfaces are supposed to represent. You lack a FUNDAMENTAL theoretical knowledge about PBR. I would've added a random gradient to some of them so they don't all point and shine in the same direction and added them on "layers" using more than one tile sampler.

You don't have to manually position them at the beginning with a "reference image". Just transform a copy of an "S"-shaped spline by 0.33333 on the vertical and another by -0.33333, and append them. Or 0.33333 and 0.66666, or the first one by 0.33333 and then copy the same transform, which transforms the already existing transform by another 0.33333.

At 7:37 (and earlier in the vid) if you hold down Ctrl + Shift when scaling it from the corner, it stays in place, you don't have to reposition it. Just like in Photoshop, Illustrator, or any other image editor. There are huge gaps in your knowledge. This is fundamental stuff. Same mistake in this video and previous ones.

This video is a disaster, lol. So many mistakes. You didn't even realize you were working with 8-bit and MANUALLY changed it to 16-bit towards the end there, lol. When instead, you should have connected a blank 16-bit grayscale "Uniform Color" node into the "main" connector pin on the spline scatter node that first started saying "L8" (clearly visible at 8:14). The input pin with the dot on it is the "main" pin, the one it gets its parent information from. And would have said "L16" there, propagating further. You would have known that if you followed the official tutorial for splines. Admittedly, it's bad software design that the scatter node defaults to 8-bit. I'm not even gonna mention the other parts where you eyeballed things... Such a bad practice! Use the mirror node! And you don't even know you can double click arrows in the Curve node to set exact values, you simply used a shitty grid as an overlay! Bro... Ur normal map was enshittyfied and you didn't even know how to fix it, you just blurred it, lol. And using the wrong blur node at first (for grayscale). Another bad design on the software side. That node should've allowed for both color and grayscale depending on the input, same as the "Transform 2D" node allows, but someone decided otherwise. But you got there in the end... kind of. I would've lowered the tips so they're not on the same height as the center. It was fun to watch. I didn't learn anything new but others might.

█ Yes, it's nice, but if you don't modify it, that menu doesn't work. I mean, you have to modify Parameters so that the Menu appears or touch F9 and that's it. But if you Rotated or Moved it and then you want to add or make a Face to your model, YOU CAN'T because that menu appears. If you have previously added and removed FACES, you cannot rotate, position and then add or remove FACES to the model because it cannot be done. Typical of Blender, in 3D Max that does not happen.
