Bc it’s cool af The enlightenment comes from the breath. Which can be achieved without contortion. Deep stretches are good for you. It doesn’t have to be ‘contortion’

That's true, but it's a subset of the students practicing there. There are all levels practicing at the Sharath Yoga Centre (SYC). The minimum requirement is having spent 3 months practicing with a SYC qualified practitioner. The requirement is less about reaching a specific standard (as most people will only learn the very basics in this time) but to ensure the student is familiar with the format and require etiquette (cleanliness, timeliness, focus during practice etc) so they can focus on the practice itself when they get to Mysore, rather than have to get acquainted with these fundamentals.

Sharath sir all blessings to you. Fantastic control of crowd with respect, discipline and alligned in learning thought. It's simply awesome. Feel like visiting your ashram, see you and seek your blessings. Let's see whether God fulfills and blesses me with that. Jaigurudev
