Appears you just might be correct about selling to a developer….though…not sure this is a good time for the market. Checked the tax records…appears that Mr. Roger’s snd his wife still own this property. Makes my stomach hurt thinking their beautiful home was destroyed. Am sorry it wasn’t sold to be enjoyed by another family. Thanks again for the video…good job!

I think one of my videos may have interior shots from a relator back when it was for sale. Should almost be criminal to destroy something like this, but at least they took their time demolishing it as it appeared much was salvaged.

Hi! Did you ever find out what happened to the home on JT Ottinger Rd…owned by Kenny Rogers? Is that property for sell…or is it being gutted by the new owner? Who is the current owner…just wondering . Thanks for you videos…just found you today.
@BobcatBart5 ай бұрын
Never heard, but my guess is it will be turned into a subdivision for mega-expensive homes.

I loved that property…and, hate to see that it’s gone. It was beautiful…..it had to take a lot of thought to take it down. Wish that it would have sold just as it was.

I don’t get what’s so great about Southlake. It’s flat there’s not many trees, it’s a terrible traffic ridden drive to downtown Dallas. I’ll take old Preston Hollow anyway. Old money Dallas old trees, hills and class.

Is the main rotor free-wheeling or is it directly connected to the motor?
@BobcatBart Жыл бұрын
The main rotor is connected directly to the motor and the tail rotor is connected via belt. Didn’t want to test it indoors with the main rotor blades attached as my wife would be upset if the dog was decapitated.

19 PSI on this setup? I just did a full turboback and Cobb stage 2 tune (93 oct) and only peak 17.5-18 psi, and hold around 15,16. With a Highwaste map I hit 19.5 psi max and held closer to Cobb's suggested 18. Just wondering what your peak / held PSI was with this setup in the vid. Maybe I should go back to the HWG map.

I've since sold them, got tired of the drone, and put back on the factory mufflers. Couldn't tell any difference in power. May go E85 this summer.
@kengvang247 жыл бұрын
Bart M so basically all you have is a downpipe and you made 280whp with a tune. Not bad at all.
@BobcatBart7 жыл бұрын
Correct. I'm hoping the E85 will bump me to around 330 hp and 390-400 tq. Not sure the carbon fiber driveshaft will add anything, but definitely improved low-speed drivability.

how are the perrin spacers holding up? i drive my 16 sti very hard and im worried the 20mm spacers will cause the tire to rub or have problems over potholes and stuff, do you recommend the spacers? i might get the 15mms
@BobcatBart8 жыл бұрын
45,000 miles with the spacers and zero problems. No rubbing and no issues with potholes. I think you'll like the look of the 20's better, plus they come with the studs already installed.
@quintincaletka12418 жыл бұрын
Bart M hmmm that's good to hear. I might get them soon, just getting worried because of ppl saying they effect the handling
@BobcatBart8 жыл бұрын
Quintin Caletka - I was in the same boat as you and researched it for weeks before doing it. Now, I'd do it all over again. It's absolutely no different than having a different wheel setup with a wider offset, just like my summer wheels. The handling is also better with the wider stance.
@quintincaletka12418 жыл бұрын
just wondering do you have an intake?
@BobcatBart8 жыл бұрын
Quintin Caletka - no intake, they just make a lot of noise with almost no performance gain (especially for the price) unless you're way beyond Stage 2.

Great video and ride! Thanks for sharing. I noticed that you said you have these tracks available in another comment. Any chance you could send them my way? I am making my first trip out their on my f800 this November and would love any advice you are willing to lend. Curious: is an f800 too heavy/big to ride Old Ore? Thanks in advance
@BobcatBart8 жыл бұрын
An F800 will be fine on Old Ore Road. The road going from Terlingua Ranch cabins into the park is very sandy for maybe a couple miles and could be a challenge on a heavy bike. But if you're not staying at the cabins I doubt you'll ever be on that road. I'll send you the file...

Do you still have this car? I just got a 2016 sti and I wanted to know how reliable is this. I'm getting really scared with the whole ringlands thing and this is my first subaru. your car looks great by the way
@BobcatBart8 жыл бұрын
Yes, I still have the car and just got back from an 11 state, 3,600 mile trip. The car now has a little over 35,000 miles and haven't had a problem with Stage 2. The oil is changed every 5,000 miles at the dealership where I bought it using the Subaru synthetic brand oil. I think the only thing I've added since this video is a carbon fiber driveshaft, and I put the factory mufflers back on just because I prefer it a little quieter (there's already enough road noise!).
@alonsoarellanocarryoptics8 жыл бұрын
+Bart M oh kool man. Yeah I want to get an exhaust but nothing crazy loud bcuz I'm not in my 20's anymore lol. maybe I'll go with the cobb exhaust or invidia 300q. I hope there's a night and day difference on the stage 2 from your car being stock. if their is then that's going to be my next move. I want a little more power lol

@BobcatBart9 жыл бұрын
+kennytr2001 The tune probably took a little less than an hour and cost $400 for a single fuel tune (I think it may be $600 for E85). Calvin will treat you right!
@arafiq818 жыл бұрын
So with the tune are you still able to change the setting in the car between S-Sport, S-Sharp and Auto? Or do you now always have to drive with S-Sharp?
@BobcatBart8 жыл бұрын
Abdullah Rafiq You can still change between the 3, and each one is noticeably different as it changes timing and boost. I tend to leave in 'S' most of the time around town, and switch to S# when on twisty highways or backroads. I never use 'I'.

Big Bend looks like a great dual sport destination. I need to try to make it there from Houston in the very near future. I'm glad I came across your video. I wasn't sure what to expect when I read that there technically wasn't any trail riding at Big Bend - only roads for street-legal machines. Old Ore at least looks like a really fun ride.
