I know im super late to these videos but i just want to say its so fun to see you read this blind and actually theorize about whats coming next! a lot of people i feel like just dont bother trying to theorize bc its too confusing (which is understandable) but this feels a lot closer to my own experience first reading homestuck back in 2013 and its making me so nostalgic! cant wait to binge the rest of this series lol

And because Page class is DUMB, that basically means god tier for me would be a lot more godlike than most, being able to use Mind powers to alter reality in almost any way. "When the page of mind meditates, shit gets weird" - literally "As I think, so shall it be" - Thanos and/or Alien X type energy. Most deep-dive analysis pieces on the combo paint it as a "Last act deuce-ex-machine" type class, since it can turn a seemingly guaranteed loss against overwhelming odds into a sudden and complete curb-stomp victory. While the offensive side of things is amusing to consider, the class IS passive, so I'm not the only one who'd be going beyond godhood here. Though the first thing I'd do if I god tier'd is put some pants on because hell no. xD Pre-god-tier would serve as an information relay, learning anything and everything about the various players personal quests as well as the wider session, and distributing that information to other players so they can use it to their advantage. But I would also be advising their decisions. Not making the decisions FOR them, tempting as it might be. Which is kind of how I am already. Desprate to help with the only thing I have in excess; random nonsense trivia. At my worst, that means "Know-it-all back-stat-gamer", at my best, that means "Perfect informant and strategic orchestrator". Yes, those are - in fact - the same thing in a diffrent hat. Amusingly the only thing I've become less and less sure about over time is what my strife specibus would be. Page class players tend to use weapons associated with their ideal carreer, but but aside a very brief stint, I never really HAD a specific carreer in mind. For that, I'd deferr to my status as a Derse dreamer. Rational skepticism lends it's self to practicality, and there's not much more practical than a simple trusty whacking-Stick. Canekind. But as usual, nothing is as it seems and just like my fellow mind player Terezi, I'd overcomplicate the HELL out of that thing so fast you have no idea.

On the talk of killing characters for no reason, even if this comment is years late, i will say that the only death in Homestuck that was pointless and a detriment to the story is Nepeta's. Every other death had a point. Eridan destroyed all Hope and turned to anger. Equius was to caught up in his adoration of the hemospectrum to fight back. Vriska's death is the crux of the entire second half of the story. Feferi comes a bit closer to being pointless, but even then she is the driving force behind Eridan's turn so that's at least something. But with Nepeta, i geniunely believe the story could've been more interesting if Gamzee didn't kill her. Throughout the entire murder arc, he was not a mindless killer. He had plenty of chances to kill Terezi, but instead he manipulated her into killing Vriska. He constantly terrorized Karkat so he could corral him to the roof to watch Terezi kill Vriska. The only people he killed are Equius and Nepeta. With Equius you could make the argument that 1) he deserved it and 2) he was the only one physically strong enough to stop his plans. He knew Terezi would take care of Vriska, and i like to think he was planning to kill Eridan without much issue before Kanaya interrupted him. If Equius was the only person he killed directly then i think the themes of him playing into the murder clown role to get people to do what he wants would be better realized. At the very least it would put him on par with Vriska in terms of evil actions, and draw a nice parallel between the two of them. Keeping Nepeta alive would help with even more things. For one, you could leave her off the same way the comic already did where you assume she is killed only for her to show up towards the end as a surprise. Maybe even hide her until one of the meteor intermissions as a bigger surprise. Nepeta could even take on the role of hunting Gamzee down instead of Kanaya since that thread kind of came out of nowhere and was dropped just as quickly. I have so many thoughts of different ways homestuck could've gone

I see a lot of theoretical versions of this story that uses June's Ascension to the Godtiers as a sort of magic hrt which is fun. One example I really like is Homestuck: Alternate Universe which has June's dream self already having a girl's body so when she merges with her dream self she can have a body she likes more. It's cute

I've been kinda down lately so I've been getting really into nostalgia and rewatching homestuck stuff. It is fun, and i love seeing someone figure out the Cal English connection

"Davesprite can god tier with the same mechanism!" Unfortunately, no. Davesprite isn't Dave's dreamself, he's Dave from an alternate timeline. However, he COULD, hypothetically, god tier on one of the moon slabs. It just wouldn't involve him fusing with main Dave. There's actually an entire MSPFA based on that concept - "Crow Strider AU". Davesprite has the idea to god tier during the trip to the post-scratch session, so he can stop being a sprite, and then he does exactly that. He ends up doing some identity-searching, changes his name to Crow, and becomes an entirely separate person with his own distinct identity, which then proceeds to have a ripple effect on the rest of the timeline that wildly changes the events of the story. Won't spoil much, but it is a genuinely really good read, and I would recommend it. It takes a lot of interesting concepts that Homestuck introduces, uses once, and then forgets about and never touches again, and instead explores them to their fullest potential. You should really read it some time!

I didn't notice until just now: right before Gamzee goes nuts, you see Terezi picking up a pie tin as the Mind symbol flashes on-screen. Immediately after, Gamzee gets hit on the head by a pie tin, presumably thrown by Terezi, loses it, and does his big attack. Terezi used her Seer of Mind powers to see what she should do and when to do it in order to get Gamzee to attack the king.
