My Solar Saga 100 stopped working. As it turned out, the cable Male Connector center pin was not sticking out far enough to make a connection. I pulled on it and that got it working again. The problem would come and go. So I am going to replace the cable, or the cable connector.

Same problem. Jackery would not honor warranty. Claims they can't find the purchase paperwork. No more Jackery products for me. Eco flow is much better company to deal with. Very responsive.

This totally makes me sick. I have had my panels almost 3 yrs used them not more then 25 times. I normally charge all my units with a.c. adapter. I bought 4 so I can charge 2 while using 2. Thankfully I have another brand of panels that works with these as, im off grid in the middle of nowhere now. One heck of a lot of money wasted on something that should have been recalled since I noticed other videos showing the manufactures error of the wires not properly protected causing a possible potential fire or injury..

Yeah, well my "Way Cheaper than Jackery" FelxSolar seems to not have the right "Plug" that fits standard solar panels! I see your Jackery model has BOTH the plug in and the "red & black" plugs that come with my FlexSolar but I guess Jackery didn't want second party solar panels used on the Model 1500? I've sent a request for help...

My SS 100 failed on me (out of warranty). I removed the orange circuitboard to get access to it and the wiring. Found the problem. The wire is stranded, both positive and negative. A single strand on the negative input was tutching a loose strand on the positive. I separated them and it fixed the problem. It is a quality control issue. The orange box is screwed down to the fabric, from under the fabric. I used scissors to cut out the fabric, along the edge of the box. That gave access to 4 underlying screws that hold the box together.and hold it in place. The strands are poorly soldered. The box has 3 parts; a base, a lid, and a cover. Feal the fabric along the box and cut along the underlying edges. When putting things back together, I duct taped the box down.

Has anyone figured out what is going wrong with the SS100? It has happened twice for me...and while I am very pleased with the customer support and replacements they have sent me...I would rather understand why they keep failing and if there is anything I can do to avoid it. I have my second failed SS100 sliced open at the fold and everything looks normal at first glance. All wires are in place and seemingly ok. So I'm curious if the solar cells are going bad or is there something wrong with the wiring I can't see. Anyone have an idea?

@David-lk4uu - great find! You prompted me to investigate further. Unfortunately I tossed the panel about a month ago. BUT, not before removing all of the parts like the circuit board/wiring and the plastic frame pieces in case that stuff would be needed in the future. So I opened the little circuit board box, and while I did not see any pos/neg frayed wire strands touching, I did see some sloppy frayed wire strands that MAY have been able to touch. Too bad I'll never know, though I am slightly more satisfied to know that what you found is a strong possibility for what I have experienced as well. I'll know where to look if/when the current panel fails. Thanks for the reply!

ALSO, with all the different more inexpensive Power Stations, maybe they will be like TESLA and make some changes relatively quickly in their design, and execution (Or they will go broke!) I for one, would like to see their three output standard plugs a few more inches apart so I could ACTUALLY plug in THREE devices straight from the power station without an extension cord!

I'm 24 and just found out I have convergence insufficiency. I as a student would get tired easily from reading, would have to reread multiple times, often would jump a head and loose my place, even see wavy lines. So during important tests later in life such as ACT I was smart, but I couldn't read fast enough to finish the tests. And we all know those tests grade you on "how fast" you know things and not what you know. I'm irritated that this whole time I could have been a better student.
