You're a lucky man. The last time I drove to Cornwall from Norfolk it took fourteen hours. And I didn't even do any fishing. Fml. Thanks for the videos, great stuff 👍

I get a foot and a half of ice on my lake in the winter and it's 10,000 acres. The good part is that summer is awesome for carp. I have a friend that catches sometimes 200 pounds in one night.

Do you wrap shock leader around your reel when casting and do you have any problems with the knot on the ring eyses???
@Jason-im3pz
@Jason-im3pz 3 күн бұрын
You want four or five turns of the leader around your reel. Depending on your rod eyes, the knot itself and your casting habits, the knot shouldnt tangle. Smooth casts and you'll be fine

When i cast,after the whip i flip the rod to side,so the reel gets vertical to the right,noise of braid hitting the guides is less audible so i'm thinking more distance? Maybe im just crazy,can you guys try this and confirm ?

That is not that way on the "D" thou.. That one need the crank to turn backwards to use drag break. D is for Direct drive.

I might be your farthest fan. Hello from Las Vegas! I got into ultralight, multispecies fishing several years ago but because im so far away from prime water i mostly using bait to ensure most catch. I will definitely LRF more often when time permits. Thanks for showing!

So, if you can use PLASTIC PEELER CRABS , then why use real ones ?? It seems the is a lot of FAFFING with real crab and it really does seem wasteful

Is automotive bearing grease suitable for greasing the moving parts? If not can I use white grease or spray grease?
@denofearthundertheeverlast5138
@denofearthundertheeverlast5138 22 күн бұрын
No, absolutely not bearing grease, its way too thick, Super lube multi-purpose full synthetic grade #2 (most common grade) is ok, even walmart ozark trail grease is ok, I think walmart just uses super lube too but I think its a NLGI #1 instead of the normal #2 it pretty light....I'm sure you can use lithium or a spray grease but I hear mixed results of those, mostly the lithium grease drying out too quickly, as I think that is what its supposed to do, but I wouldn't because if you are wanting to get by without having to break down your reel by spraying it, I think you'll just speed up having to do just that.

Only way them rods will take off is , to start get rid of all the colour. No one will take a Rodin that livery as serious. I remember when penn started to 8 traduce casting rods ibto the uk many years ago, even then, they didn’t take off.

I dont really feel ok with lifting pike up by the gill plate for pics. The big pike is heavy and i feel i am ripping its flesh. Small ones are light, but somewhat above 90cm they have different proportions.

I would have put the rod down and gone for that fishy hole between her legs. You two could have had turns on her holes. Hold her down and one in the front hole and the other in the back hole at the same time. The fact that you didn't tells me that you are both queer for each other!
