The Sweetest Fruit is about art, and how the best art is made when people go out on a limb, take risks, and reach for something new and beautiful. Sophie died leaning out on a roof to get a better picture of the moon...St. Vincent recognised an element of her death was caused by reaching for beauty - going out on a limb to get a better pic of the moon. I imagine Sophie would appreciate the sentiment of Annie's song.

When it was brought up that you occasionally put Dallas Beltway to give yourself a kick in the ass emotionally it spoke to me brother. I remember showing co-workers that song along with the lyrics and in hindsight realized how that's totally not a song you do that with. That track is honestly the perfect example of them doing what they do well without a hitch.

Hey dudes! I’ve been watching here and there, depending on the album, and I wanted to know whether or not you’d be down to review one of our albums? Our band Odd Breed put out a multi-genre album back in January called No Brakes On Red and it would be really cool to see a reaction for it. It’s on all platforms, so it should be easy to access. If so, we’ll react to it and shout you out (not that we have a crazy reach, but maybe like a “small channel helps small channel” kind of deal)? Just let us know, please.

The origial "Fight for your Right" is awesome. Crue neutered it. It has none of the aggression the original has. Part of that is because of John 5's constant soloing throughout.

Well, I like this podcast. Also, John 5 in Motley Crue is a boring guitarist. And wears his guitar too high live.

If these guys didn't know about Saints of Los Angeles, then i dont think these guys are big Crue fans. I agree that the new stuff sucks though. Someone needs to drop off a garbage bag of heroin and two cases of Jack at Nikkis Sixxs house so he can make good music again.

Cancelled is good, many new bands can't beat them even if they're no longer the Crue of the 80s. Anyway, Lee & Co aren't going to be worried about your criticism. They continue to fill stadiums, buy Ferraris and make millonaire movies (like The Dirt) lol

Crue 81-91 was great . Self titled ‘94 was great and Generation Swine was a nice, solid experiment for them . After that , they lost it. 81-91 , they will forever be my favorite

Crue 81-91 was great. Also the self titled 1994 was great. I will agree on that. Generation Swine, on the other hand, was pretty much crap, except the song Glitter. Then I like the song "If I Die Tomorrow" from Red, White & Crüe (2005). The album Saints of Los Angeles (2008) was pretty good. Then the new song "Dogs of war" and "Cancelled" is pretty much the same crap as Generation Swine.

Mick Mar's influence on Motley's music should never be forgotten - been a Crue Head all my life, love Sixx but 'The Dirt' was factually full of BS and his 'Heroin Diaries' imo were also - if you are a smack head the 'last' thing you'd be doing is writing a diary - then there's the changing of 'how' he came to use Nikki Sixx - he has given 2 different reasons. And this is the man who said and I quote verbatim at their press event when they promoted 'The End' - Nikki said when asked if this was 'real' - quote verbatim "if we were to go back on our word I would have so much egg on my face". Yet they went out on the 'Stadium Tour'? Money, or what Vince puts in his autobiography, in his own words Vince said he had money but not "fuck you money". Now Vince/band have 'fuck you' money. It is insulting to me when I spend all that money to see a bloated Vince 'sing' on the 'Final Tour', Vince was physically a disgrace weight wise - but to break your own promise and tour again making hundreds of millions is to me BS. Crue earned on average $1.5 million PER SHOW on the 'Stadium Tour' - Leppard $1 million. It's just so sad to see bands treat their longtime fans like shit - the fake band called KISS are another perfect example - the other fact is Sixx LOVES John 5. Has for a long time, Nikki's always wanted him in the band while he trashed Mick. To me imo Sixx has 0 credibility. No mick no Crue. Same with no Richies no Bon Jovi - both men have contributed massively to their bands - 5 may be good but he is not Mick.
