Awesome workflow! Can i ask, how were you able to duplicate the t-spline pull function @2:07? I cant seem to duplicate it and will require continuous subdivision which takes significantly more time than how you did it. Thanks!

Hey, this is a bit of a late comment relative to the upload date, but I thought I might ask here anyways. Is Fusion 360 something I would benefit from learning while it's accessible to me for free as a student? or would it be worse to have to switch off from that after learning it because I can't afford it? or am I just overthinking what CAD I use?

THANK YOU for this video. I spent 45min trying to find a video on the difference between delete and remove. That is my fault, I was searching for Splitting Bodies waiting for them to hit on this topic. However I found your video and now I got it (and I'm a beginner). My only comment on the video would be is to slow down so I can read what you're selecting. Thank you !

great tutorial! unfortunately i couldnt get the sketch line of the cone to "flange" out horizontally as you did. the flange only works +/- vertically. Must be something with the program updates as the flange command window in the current version looks different compared to yours. edit: took some time to figure it out. just switched the sketch plane of the cone diagonal(?) on to the top face instead of the front face. now the cone is tilted 90deg but that doesnt affect the final sheet metal pattern in any way. was also able to create an oblong cone sheet metal pattern using this method (replacing the "surface revolve" with "surface loft" instead). kudos again!

I didn't realize this workflow was possible. So this would allow one to essentially edit organic meshes, correct? (with the caveat that you mentioned of it not being 100% accurate always and it may require lots of subdividing.)

I didn't want to join any teams, I make models for myself, at home. But today when trying to launch Fusion 360 it ask my to "create a team" but this option is not available because it says that I am already the owner of the team. Or I should "join an existing team", but this option is also unavailable and I can't do anything. All I can do is just close the app :(

You keep mentioning that you are making a series of videos about custom Appearances & rendering in Fusion 360. Where the heck are they? A few links would be nice!!

Like many fusion tutorials I go to for help on a subject this one after a few sections starts rambling off into many other aspects of the program and finishes off without me being any further ahead. My suggestion would be to use a very simple change a simple model, and cover sketching lessons in another video. This is not a flame, just to let you know how this beginner feels when trying to solve a specific problem. Good luck with your you tube venture.

Thank you so much for this! I just completed the whole series and it was wonderful. I am coming from the graphic design field and this was exactly what I needed. Basic things like, the blue means that the program is asking for info. Fusion requires a very different way of thinking, a jump for someone whose industry has some very different interface rules/tools. It is very awkward for someone who has been clicking and dragging to move around in a space for many many years to suddenly have to click on a hand to do it. That scroll wheel zoom is a life saver, and, yes, so nice to have my sinking suspicion affirmed that it doesn't work with a track pad- before I found your tutorial, I tried every iteration to make that work. Again, thank you, thank you, thank you!
