just sharing… I failed my first TP test @ubi ( I did a right sharp turn when approaching the directional change station and hit a kerb and didn’t do safety check (mind u , I was under private and during that time I was unlucky bcs my instructor was ALWAYS on holiday and there was a time I was unable to have lesson bcs of HIS holiday) for one month and thus I was really unprepared because 1. I wasn’t ready at all bcs I don’t have enough lessons, 2. I have already paid for the test. And by the time, I had an immediate failure and unable to proceed with the other parts of circuit and road so technically I wouldn’t consider this as my 1st attempt . Fast forward, I did my 2nd TP test (and this time , I changed my private instructor to someone that was recommended by my friend who did with her bfr and getting someone who knows the instructor was better so that it is more reliable ; my mistake was to go with the 1st instructor that i don’t know about his reviews ) and AGAIN I failed! I was pretty confident but definitely nervous bcs as usual, you’re nervous! I failed but I managed to do all of the circuit and even went to the road and was able to complete all the stages. I failed bcs I didn’t check blindspot - which I srsly did but my TP instructor marked me PLENTY of times even on the circuit and road even though I REALLY exaggerated my head movement and say it out but he claimed I didn’t do it ; especially when changing lanes or doing turns or during parking. Also there are some external causes that led me to failure - the traffic light was turning from green to amber (and by the time it was amber, my car was at the pedestrian line as I overshot - I did slowed down but it wasnt fast enough) and pedestrians JUST HAD TO WALK when I check both of my sides when they were crossing at the exit side of the circuit - like dayum WHY U GOTTA DO ME LIKE THAT?! Such a regret bcs 1. Getting a TP slot is very difficult bcs I’m a private learner and waking up everyday at 9am in the CDC app just sucks 2. Money (ALOT of it) and energy, time is used. Whatsmore for someone like me who works shifts and I have to make time to go for driving lessons and to fail again. I personally felt that my TP officer was very strict as he kept telling me I didn’t do safety checks despite me verbalising and doing it EXAGGERATEDLY. I was just doing how I was told to do even in my private lessons with my private instructor so I honestly don’t know what went wrong. Is it me?the TP or my instructor 😐. Also, the weather on that day was very sunny which was unfortunate bcs if it was raining, it might be more challenging… bcs I rarely practice driving during rainy days. I hope to those that failed the TP test, don’t give up . I am at the verge of giving up bcs I have used alot of money just to get a driving license. And i don’t know if sch is even better bcs it is also as competitive. I will be trying my third attempt (still waiting for a TP slot ; this is very sian!!!) But all the best to those wanting to get a license by 2025 💎!! We can do it! I hope it will be my third and last test bcs $400++ for the TP (including rental car) is very exhausting unless you’re a rich person and don’t mind spending that much THREE TIMES 😭

I failed TP on this Wednesday. I did slope, parallel parking, direction change and another direction change and accumulated only 2 demerits. Then I fail at the right turn near the 14 sign board. There was a traffic jam at the place and 5 cars were there waiting for direction change spot. My sight was blocked by them. I checked the car coming from my right for several minutes and jam still there. I started my car and turn right. Tester then ask me why I couldn’t wait longer. He said I was too impatient and made a critical mistake by not giving road to the cars that have rights of the road. Then I drove back and that is it. My next test is next month. My first test is two years ago, and it was worse, 40 demerits and 1 critical mistake. The tester was nice and he let me do some items even after I failed already. I think I wasn’t ready to buy a car before, so I was not motivated to learn. But now I am determined and will go through the test until I get the license.

I watched this video to give me some insight when taking Class 3 at CDC. Managed to clear my TP after 2 months of hustling the lessons! 😅 On some days i even did a morn and an afternoon session before heading for night shift work. Glad it paid off hehe!😅

During practical lessons, if you experience rude and verbally abusive instructors, speak to customer service don't be discouraged and don't ever quit, keep learning, remember if there are rude instructors there are also excellent and professional instructors. I strongly believed that the student shouldn't have an instructor that makes a student more anxious, learning to drive especially from scratch is already nerve-racking, having a rude and verbally abusive instructor doesn't help at all to the student's ability to understand the lesson, in fact, it worsens the student ability to understand and execute the lesson. If you don't understand ask the instructor politely to explain it again, ask him politely to demonstrate it again, and maybe even draw it for you all the pointers, turning points, etc. On the other hand, don't be a rude and abusive student, be respectful, polite, and thankful, if you don't understand anything ask again the instructor politely, if you learned something, say thank you. My tips and what works for me during my TP test is that you must have good sleep before your test day, book and practice practical lessons near on your test day but not on the same day of your test day as it will be very draining and will affect your concentration during the test, you can still practice during warm-up. Even if it's hard, find a way to be calm, focus, and drive safely. Don't worry about making mistakes, don't hurry just do what you learned and execute it confidently while having a safety-first mindset, deep breathing helps if you're so nervous, meditate on this mantra "keep calm, focus, drive safely" and all will be fine. If you fail it's ok just try again, then if you fail again it's still ok, don't quit keep trying till you pass, failure is temporary giving up is permanent. Practise good road safety habits while learning practical lessons, during the TP test, and after passing the TP test. In fact, always practising good road safety habits is more important than passing the TP test.

I passed my BTT/FTT/TP at Ubi all at 1st attempt, I drive class 3 manual car. I was profoundly nervous & was so sure that I’m going to fail but I’ve managed! Had 8 demerit points. To anyone taking you can do it! Push yourself & it’ll be over & all worth it!

Chill guys for those taking TP test, the testers are not ur enemy. Within 5mins im shaking real hard, tester tell me slope 12 and i missed it. I aplogies sincerely as his face is as dark as bao jin tien! I guess is because i wasted his time to q again. But he told me to proceed to direction change. Till this point im still shaking but i tell myself hack it since i paid just remember my training, all is well with zero point in circuit. When im outside den i realise fk side mirror nv adjust its facing down. Im in deep shit! But lucky no car behind did a quick adjustment and did a u turn back to sch. And passed first try with 14 points. ( abupt lane change, did not release handbrake and veer of course ) moral of the story dont be nervous just remember ur teaching and can save u alot of money as tp test is cheap but car rental is like a bomb. Good luck to another taking their test soon.

Hi, this video was very useful I just started Class 3 at CDC af last month, can you tell how many lessons will it take conplete module 1, module 2 and module 3? because in the booklet there are about 30 topics and for me the instructor is taking 1 topic per lesson so far untill now which I have complete around 6 lessons. My doubt is, how long will it take to complete each module? Hope to get a response from you soon

I too failed TP 3x. the first one I got 18 points but I had 1 immediate failure - I went up the kerb while doing the S course! the 2nd and 3rd were just stupid careless mistakes. I hope I can get over it and done too by early next year! Btw, congrats on your 4th pass!
