The sustain on that Santa Cruz FS went on forever. Hard to pick a favorite, but that one may be it.

Interesting guitar. Great shape and design. What keeps me from buying one is the branded logo on the guitar's top. They should brand it somewhere that is not visible. Can that be an option?

I have an early 60’s 00-18E acoustic electric in perfect condition she’s been in the case and has the original plastic knobs, which I haven’t found anything else like it. I’m trying to find a comparison but I’m finding nothing?? I don’t play so she’s collecting dust my late uncle was the purchaser but gifted it to me so I’m technically the original owner. Do you think you could message me back if you know anything about it?
@Ratchfayce9 күн бұрын
I have heard mine played without it being plugged in and it sounds beautiful very similar to the one you just were playing in this video. And so amazing when plugged in. I had a buddy test just to make sure that the electric capability worked. I’m sentimentally attached to it, but I’m really curious And I just don’t know what I have on my hands

That sounds like a neat guitar! I see some others like it online, like this one for instance. reverb.com/item/79142052-martin-oo-18e-1959-natural?show_sold=true

Never considered a tele style guitar before, couldn’t get past the headstock shape But this one’s got its own thing going on & I dig it! 🤞 I can find a used one in the UK

Thanks a mill for all the great shows in 2024 and sharing your wealth of knowledge. It's a great pleasure to watch it, although the guitars are beyond my wildest dreams... Merry Christmas and a happy holiday season!

Matt these guitars are superb as are nearly all the ones you review. Your playing is also purely complimentary to the incredible instruments (art) you are holding. But lets be honest here, your beard puts most of these to shame and is quite distracting. Keep up the excellent work.

I’m not a huge 00 guy but the H13s always sound perfect to me. And the Kopp 185 is 🤯. I’m not sure a guitar can get much better than that. The Santa Cruz FS is of cosmic proportions. Goodness gracious. The cypress soundboards are special too. To me it sounds like if redwood and Adirondack had a baby.

surprised at use of oak. Obviously aged but wood never really dies, and oak is the most likely to move with changes in humidity. Presumably it has really strong back braces? Would love to know more about physical characteristics of this bog oak and how it moves. Thanks. Lovely playing and a superb guitar.

Just remember, if you order a Ricky from the factory, it's going to take a LONG time to arrive. I ordered one for a customer back when I worked for a very large music store chain, in Canada. The customer paid for his order in full and received the guitar 5 1/2 years later. I shit you not!!!😮

Seems to be a better position for those microphones it helped a lot to lessen the percussive empty barrel sound.
