Hi Anthony Zhang, thanks for doing a short and useful video about it. I just discovered your KZbin channel. And right away I knew I have to subscribe you. Your explanation helps me to find my own strategy to learn. I am currently in med school and sometimes I feel overwhelmed. It does help to talk with the other medical student how we feel and I realise I am not alone with the anxiety and the stress that we face. Especially when the exams are coming. Please continue doing your video. I feel now so inspired and motivated to go back to study and be persistent. Thanks ☺

Emphasis on the over studying: During my microbiology exam,I had 3 days to review everything, and I studied around 15 hours per day, solving questions showed I was ready, and I was scoring well on really difficult concepts. The night before i felt like I couldn’t see the material anymore. I was starting to get basic concepts wrong, i got frustrated, and unfortunately that stayed with me up until the next morning AKA exam day. i went to the exam like a drunk person, with fever and a severe flu as well, and I couldnt read a word. i dont even remember the questions. i felt miserable and helpless, it screwed me up and I did not pass that exam. dont overstudy, really dont. We are all perfectionists and I believe that is more of a curse than it is a blessing

I still don’t get how you are doing it. Are you just learning it once from a source like a good book and then just revise trough question banks and ankis? I would be way too scared to don’t get every important topic revised that way. And also the syllabus of my University doesn’t seem to match most of the study resources.

without the rant lol --> day by day study qb study imp stuff and know them well i also find this to give me very good result, problem is that i dont always stick with it, but it account for most of the right answer i get in exam. last exam i 100% screwed up on a subject by answering about 30-40% of it only, that was because it had memorization, the material were a lot and i didnt cover that part of the exam because i had to revise the stuff i know which i was already weak at. check qb early while u study. also am a very cramming person so i cant say teh good thing about day to day, but i once did study like almost all day for 1 week, i did what i thought i couldnt do.

This was one of the most helpful videos I’ve ever seen about study methods!! (I’m a big fan of Ali Abdaal, so I’ve seen a lot hahaha) The SQ3R method is great too! And reminds me a bit of what you explained One thing I simply can’t bring myself to do is stop taking notes.. I feel like I won’t remember anything after my lectures 😵💫😵💫 Anyways, thank you!!🙏

Anthony, I absolutely can understand that you are facing quite a bit of uncertainty regarding the future and the plans you have made. But when you said that you are a bit worried about gaining weight, I thought that you really don’t need to be. You are a disciplined person, and character traits remain even when faced with different circumstances. Therefore I think you will actually thrive in the next few weeks. You might find new meals, make more videos, find new ways to calm your nerves (maybe prayers or meditation) and improve in ways you didn’t think of. I totally agree with you that you will come out of this as an even better version of yourself!

Im only in 8th grade, and im not much of a student who care about marks. I get average set of marks, i cry looking at it every year but then i go back to the same old me. Do i want to be like this? No. My parents said they didn't want to believe in me anymore and neither did i. But im ready to strike an academic comeback and prove to my parents and apologize to myself.

So what I do is, instead of just sticking to lecture notes, I make flashcards to learn the material. Then, I use question banks and past exam papers to really test myself and see what I know. If there’s anything I’m not getting, I’ll focus more on that until it clicks ? Great videos bro !
