Why does almost every gun in infinite sound weak? It’s like they want them to sound like airsoft guns or something. I do like the look of that gun though just wish it sounded impactful.

Damn, Mark VI would have been absolutely perfect if it weren't an armor kit. We could've had all the classic Halo 3 helmets return, along with all the armor pieces as well...absolute shame that one.

Kinda bummed tha Chief Halo 2 armor is just another skin and not a fully customizable core like the others, but given how working conditions usually are for companies under Microsoft, can't be too upset with whatever they are able to add or changes to the sandbox. It's a miracle that they even managed to make a new gun with the time and resources they have.

That reused AR reload animation is really distracting for me lol. Hope the effective range drop-off is that bad, because this just looks like a superior AR so far.

Im sure im going to love this weapons gameplay because the SMG is by far my favorite weapon in this entire game series. That being said.... I absolutely HATE its design. It's literally the back half of an AR with the front half of a BR with no scope mashed together. It's going to get confused on the battlefield for a BR / AR just like the Bandit/ Bandit Evo does at a quick glance. Im probably nitpicking but this is just another example of how 343i HAS to fuck with everything to make it their own instead of just giving us the classic SMG we all know and love.

This gun’s sick, I don’t love the balance changes though-specifically the Commandos, because they added even more bloom so now we’ll just be *punished* for managing to control its harsh recoil. Seems like you’ll almost never want to use it full-auto

I'm happy to see the first real representation of the MA5K in a Halo game. What I would have liked would have been its own tweaked or new reload animation to give the gun more of its own identity. I think I may also would have preferred it to have the receiver looking closer to an MA5B, since the 5K from what little we've seen of it previously in images looks closer to that. This is clearly a carbine variation of the MA40 so I guess *technically* this is an MA40-K. Still, it's a new gun. I'll take it.

They had what they needed to make halo better and yet they fucked up so badly

The new gun is so cope imo; they clearly have no handle on the slipspace engine and can't actually create anything new. it's a mini reskinned assault rifle with a lower range and higher rate of fire. The reload is even reused lmao. This isn't what fans asked for, and it's evident that we won't get actual development until the next game

Damn, so they add Halo 2 Chief, Bring back helioscrill, and add a new gun. Paid cosmetics and literally an AR clone that handles like an SMG. Yes I acknowledge the lore and legacy of this firearm from Ghosts of Onyx but lets be real here, they just wanted a lazy excuse to put the SMG in Halo Infinite and went for the laziest route.

I think i'm buying chief bundle just for the spankr because i already have mark 6 infinite and looks better than this one
