My dad was dying of cancer when this came out. " It was love, in all it's agony" brings me to tears every time I hear this song.

so sorry to hear that...I heard this song the first time after my uncle died of a very intense battle with cancer and the notion that we in the family can and will never talk to him again, hits me still everytime I listen to this song. Hope your dad is in a good place now x
