Didn't back then played pre-recorded music, and lip sync and mimicked playing their instruments? I mean the guitars were not connected to any speakers/amps? 😮 please forgive me for nit picking this. But those women were far cooler than my mother could even dream. Damn I wished I had a cool mother and aunts who did that. 😊

Who's watching this from outside Australia? I'm interested in your opinion if you are in your '70 or older.

So cool to see this. I had guitar lessons from Roger years ago. He was such a generous teacher and introduced me to a world of music. I have such fond memories of that time🖤

had the great pleasure of meeting Paul in Australia in the Fall of 2024 and fell in love with this song and his musicianship and him :). What an Australian great he is. My one regret is not buying any / all albums he’s put out, I can’t find anything online. So thank you for having this here.

...just discovering you mates, talk about an original bands name, this song has been covered by many artists, this is my new favorite, think the basic song is by Mississippi John Hurt...❤

I don't know how Gerry Humphreys managed to sustain that hand clap in the original by The Loved Ones but this is a creditable version, better than INXS.

New addition is the guitarist on the left but who is he?
@stevegordon84743 ай бұрын
John Farrar on guitar (behind the drummer) went on to write hits in America for Olivia Newton-John and others. Pete Robinson on bass had been in The Thunderbirds and many other bands before going on to found his own business in music equipment. I can't remember the names of the drummer and singer, sorry.
