Wow. Just what I needed. I didn’t know there was anyone practicing both. This found me at exactly the right time as I’ve been wondering how to incorporate both of these traditions myself. Seems like others have similarly “weird karma” like me 😂 Thanks so much for sharing this!

If you’re interested in healing of trauma in tantra check out Amrita baba’s work,Amrita mandala. Hes way ahead of others in this matter.

This is what is needed in the West, the combination, I agree. We are not Tibetans and therefore do not need Tibetan Buddhism. However, from my experience, the purest transmission of the essence of the ultimate truth and the tantric teachings currently comes from the tibetan tradition, which is what leads me back there again and again. But I am also looking for a way to overcome this paradox or to bring the traditions together and find a wholesome integration!

Excellent interview which addresses issues that are seldomly discussed at such a deep level. Must listen for all western practitioners still in samsara.

Hatha Yoga doesn't come from Buddhism, James Mallinson says the same preposterous nonsense about the AmritaSiddhi. Anyone who has read those text, who is autodidactic, can think critically, use discernment ect will see that these so called experts are full of shit. Buddhism is not the original religion of Tibet. Buddhism was used to conquer Tibet, India and China. All the yogic practices in Buddhism are contaminated and modified, the original practices come from India. I will have to research why these insane Caucasians are pushing this fallacy. Never trust so called experts in any field. Always be autodidactic.

I've been slowly over a lifetime learning what I can about Ayurveda in this country(a challenge!)& integrating practices into my life style as preventative personal healthcare. Everything you're saying Jessica makes clear sense to me. I hope I get to work with you soon! Thank you!

the people in dudjom rinpoches sangha always look unhealthy unhappy and mad at something. I personally am not attracted to it. I like padmasambhava but I feel that they have strayed a bit from his teachings

Any suggestions on how to learn about Tibetan pulse diagnosis? I have developed a concordance between Ayurvedic tridosha theory and Chinese five element theory that also holds up for Korean Sasang theory. Any suggestions or ideas about collaborations appreciated. My work is published in a number of books and articles.
